CHAPTER 6

Jake's pov.

I walked behind her, she is so smalll and petite, it makes me want to protect her in all ways, be there for her when ever she needs. I thought she won't hug me, when i was about to retrive my arms she came close wrapping her hands around my torso, her small petite hands wrapped against my body, i held her tight, i had  this felling if i leave her she will dissapear like the wind. She dint object, i felt she was happy, calm. I dint realise how long we stood like that until ven called us. We immensely retrived back, she had this slight blush on her face. Know i knew she is affected by  my touch.

We entered a room which was same like the rest of the place purple and pink, it has a small table meant for three in the center along with few bean bags, at one end of the room there was a small kitchen. Where i found mrs watson and ven walking out  with a tray of cookies and coffee mugs.
I headed towards the table where i saw a man his back was facing me. Beth ran towards him and hugged him from back, i just stood there looking at what was going on in front of me, i could see how much he loved her, i could see it the way he caressed her, and here i was thinking about us and what not while she's taken, she spoke to him so animatedly as if the whole world depends on it. I could feel the tinge of jealousy raising in me. I heard  a voice call me i turned towards it. Tess was looking at me maybe expecting answer for the question she just asked, honestly speaking i dint hear a word i was busy looking at beth and that man.

I walked towards tess " i am really sorry, i couldn't understand mrs watson"

She smiled saying "oh, honey its ok, i was asking you to come and join us"

I walked towards the table, ven and beth were sitting on the bean bags, mrs watson sat on one end of the table while the other guy sat on the other end of the table which means i got to sit in between both of them, when i went close, i was so shocked looking at the man sitting there, it was so evident how shocked i was that mrs watson asked why are you so shocked.

" oh jake i forgot to introduce you, meet my husband Stephen, and stephen this is jake, jacob beth's friend"

I was happy dancing in my head , i had this huge smile on my face. Mr watson had this broad stature, he stood up offering a hand shake. He was 1-2 inches short then me which aint making him less intimidating.

"so, jacob right, so where did you meet Bethany" he asked in a calm tone.

" beth and i attend school together" i answered trying to be as calm and sweet as possible. My mom always told me first impression really matters. I dint want to be rude in any way.

"oh, good come join us lets talk and have cookies".

"thank you sir", i said sitting in the seat between both of them.

" oh no no call me stephen jake, you dont have to be formal, so what does your father do?" he asked sipping his coffee.

" he runs a company sir, sorry Stephen"

" oh ok, are you dating anyone?"

"stop it honey! Stop worrying the kid, dont mind him jake have your cookies"

" what i am just curious?" stephen said in a baby voice.

"its ok mrs watson, i am single" i said looking towards beth who was eating her cookies like a tiny baby.

"oh thats great what do you think about beth." he asked beth spilled some of her coffee after hearing the question.

"whats wrong with you stephen, what do you want to know, tess look stephen is asking all irrelevant questions" beth said with a frown on her face whining like a small baby.
