Chapter X

CHAEYOUNG

*Ring

I stirred in my sleep as I heard my alarm faintly ringing. I'm still a bit sleepy that I opened one eye to check the time.

6:45 am

With all my might, I forced myself to get up and get ready.

Today is d-day for the exhibit and I need to fix things before it starts.

The event will start by ten in the morning so I basically have two more hours to check if everything is alright.

As I got up from bed I texted Tzuyu saying to meet up on the hall where the exhibit will take place.

"Got it, buddy. Be there in 30." She replied

My watch reads 9:10 am.

I looked around and was astonished by the look this hall has. Artwork displayed in every corner of the room made this place extra beautiful.

I can't wait to see Nayeonie's reaction when she sees this place later. I'm sure she'll love it.

"Hey, Chaeng. This place is really great. It's radiant and oh I saw other's works too and they're beautiful. Did you see the playground painted by Lisa? I didn't think she can draw, really." Tzuyu said and chuckled.

"You're well aware that your cousin is an art major, right? Quit the teasing, she's really good, Tzu." I said.

"I'm just kidding you know. I know she's talented. I just want to tease her. Do you see her face when I do? Gosh it's so funny." And she laughed again. This girl really.

"Ooops, It's almost time, Tzu. I'll go see Prof. Kim first. See you later, okay?" I need to remind Prof. about the exhibit since she's a bit forgetful. Keke

As I was walking towards the teacher's lounge, I heard someone calling me. I turned my head and saw Sana unnie waving at me.

"Hey, unnie" I said and gave her a hug.

"Wow, it's been a while since I saw you. I heard your department will have this exhibit?"

I nodded my head enthusiastically.

"You should go see it if you have time, unnie."

She gave me a thumbs up.

"I'll go see it later after Mina's performance. So I can drag her there." She said giggling but I just stood there stiffly.

"Don't tell me you forgot?" she said after seeing my reaction.

I really forgot about it. It's not just us who have events going on. Theater arts and dance arts also have performances.

"Yeah. I was preoccupied with the preparation for the exhibit." It's the first time I forgot something important to Mina.

"Well, can't blame you about that." She said.

"I should get going now, unnie. I need to get our professor." She nodded and that's my cue to go.

MINA

"Mitang~" I heard Sana calling from behind.

"Hey, where have you been? My performance's gonna start in a bit." I said.

"Sorry, I bumped into a friend and talked for a bit. Anyway, just relax. I'll be in the front watching. You can do it. Fighting!"

"Thanks, Sana. By the way, did you see Bambam outside?" I asked. I'm really nervous now and I need to see him for a bit.

"Yeah, he's sitting with his friends. Didn't he come here?" I shook my head.

"He said I should focus on my performance and we'll meet after." I explained.

"Oh, then what's the matter?" She asked confused.

I needed some encouraging words from him just like what Chaeng do before...

I shook my head as that thought entered my head. I have a boyfriend now. I should stop comparing them. I've already chosen Bambam.

"Nothing, unnie. I'm just nervous."

"Do you want me to get him for you?" the look of worry is written on her face so I just shook my head and managed a smile to assure her I'm good.

After Sana went to the crowd. I ready myself and wait for my turn to perform.

Fast Forward

After my performance, Sana and Bambam congratulate me backstage and gave me flowers.

"You did well, Mitang~" Sana said as she clapped her hands.

"Thanks, Sana. I'm just glad it's done" I said and she giggled.

"By the way, I'm gonna go see some art exhibit now. I promised Chaeng I'd go. Wanna come?" I widen my eyes hearing her name. I then looked at Bambam's reaction.

"Oh it's okay if you have other plans together guys." Sana said after reading the situation.

I can't utter a word. I don't know what to say in this kind of tension.

"Sure, let's go there. I wanna see some arts too. You okay with that, babe?"

Nope I'm not okay with that at all!

"Of course."

And that was the fakest smile I ever gave...
