CHAEYOUNG

EVENING

After my friends and Nayeonie fetched me in the airport, we decided to go to my place and talk about the reason why I didn't come home after telling them I'll be staying abroad for just a month.

Somi, on the other hand, was fetched by her father in the airport so we'll just meet on the day of the exhibit.

It's 10:30 in the evening now and all of them are still here with their drunk faces.

"Yah, Chewy~ give me a kiss pweaseeee." I was watching them from the kitchen table.

I still can't believe that my best friend got together with Sana unnie. As far as I can remember, the two are opposite poles.

I can't help but release a soft chuckle at the scene in front of me.

A kissy Sana and a defeated Tzuyu. I have to admit the two of them are really cute together.

"Those two are like that whenever they drink together that's why Tzuyu doesn't like going to parties with Sana. She can be very whiny."

I heard a voice beside me that made me startled and almost spilled the water I was holding.

"Oh, I'm sorry. Did I scare you, Chaeng?"

I frantically shook my head and waved my hand.

"It's okay, unnie. I was just to emerged on watching those two and didn't see you coming."

She gave me a gentle smile and pat my head.

"You must be surprised seeing me here with your cousin, Chaeng."

I looked at Jeongyeon unnie as she said that.

Honestly, I was quite baffled when I saw her on the airport.

"It's been a year and a half since me and Nayeon became each other's fiancé."

She explained to me.

"I remember Nayeonie telling me that she came back here two years ago because of the merging of their airlines with another airline company. I didn't know it was you, unnie."

She chuckled and hold my shoulder.

"No one knew I was an heir to an airline company. My parents never introduced me to the public to protect my privacy. Also, because I don't do well in my academics." She said and we both laugh.

I still remember her coming to school in her pj's. That was hilarious. Who would've thought, this bubbly unnie can be an heir and my cousin's fiancé for that matter?

"I don't have any objections to you being Nayeonie's fiancé, unnie. I can see that she's happy with you. I hope you won't hurt her. She's been through a lot already."

I don't want to see my cousin broken again. She deserves to be happy.

"I understand, Chaeng. I'll do my best to make your unnie happy. Honestly, I've already developed feelings for her already. So, you don't have to worry, I'll make sure I won't hurt her."

"Thanks, unnie." I'm thankful that now I can truly rely on someone to take care of my bunny cousin.

"By the way, where is Nayeonie, unnie?" I asked as I didn't see her anywhere in the living room.

"She's drunk already. So, I put her to bed. I put her on the room next to yours." I nodded my head and thanked Jeongyeon unnie.

"You should sleep too, Chaeng. I bet your tired from your flight and in dealing with these kids too."

She said and pointed to the now asleep Satzu.

I chuckled and nodded my head.

"You should too, unnie. Nayeonie might cry if she won't see you by her side when she stirred from her sleep." I teased her a bit and saw the blush in her face.

"Oh, you little—"

"Goodnight, unnie~" I said and rushed to my room.

JEONGYEON

That kid, really.

"Jeong..." I heard my name being called so I rushed to the room where Nayeon is.

"Why are you up, Nayeon-ah. Get some rest it's still eleven."

I rushed to her side seeing her standing groggily.

"I woke up and you're not here." She said and pouted.

Oh, stop being cute..

"Sorry. I went out and talked to Chaeyoung a bit." I said and tucked her in bed again.

She patted her left side so I settled myself there cuddling her.

"Did you tell her?" She asked with her eyes closed.

"I told her about the fiancé thing."

She suddenly sat down and looked at me.

"You haven't told her about Mina?"

After she said that, I palmed myself. I totally forgot.

"Sorry, babe. It slipped my mind." I said and she hugged me again.

"It's okay. Let's just tell her tomorrow so she won't be shocked."

She said and I just nodded my head.

I couldn't fall asleep. So, after making sure Nayeon is asleep, I took my phone, went to the balcony area and dialed Mina's number.

She answered after the third ring.

"Hello?" She sounded so sleepy.

"Did I wake you up?"

"It's fine, unnie. I was waiting for your call but I fell asleep. How is she, unnie?"

I can hear a longing in her tone. Poor girl. If Chaeyoung just knew.

"She's fine. Still the same Chaeyoung you knew before, bubbly and artistic."

"I'm glad. That's more than enough. Thank you, unnie."

"I can't stand you being like this. Why don't you come in her exhibit and talk to her, Mina?"

"You know she h-hates me already, unnie." Her cracked voice is enough for me to know she's crying already.

"Then tell her the truth!" I can't help but be mad by this situation my cousin is in.

Yes, Mina is my cousin.

That's why I know everything about her relationship with Chaeyoung up to their break up and how she got together with that jerk Bambam.

"It's okay, unnie. It was my fault Chaeyoung and I broke up too. I don't think I can ever face her."

"You where confused, Mina. That guy brain washed you!"

"Which I could've handled if I just had a talk with her before. But I didn't, unnie. It's okay. All I want to know is if she's okay. Which she is and I'm more than happy of what she achieved now. She's better without me, unnie. So, I would appreciate it if you won't mention me to her anymore."

"But Mi---"

"Unnie?"

I heard a voice behind me and when I turned....

"Chaeyoung-ah"

"How long have you been in there?"

"You know Mina?" She asked.

The look on her face is too hard for me to read.

I guess, I won't be sleeping today...
