"You should have asked me before going to this college. You could have gotten us killed." C.J reminded Benjamin for the tenth time in the last fifteen minutes.
"Well maybe, if you had told me what happened that night then I wouldn't have to go there." He replied for the first time.
Only half an hour ago they were fighting off a gang who were probably after Colby Simpson and now they were at Carson Harvey—someone who really disliked Benjamin.
Benjamin had called Blind Spot HQ to inform them of the situation, but since he couldn't tell anybody about his highly-classified case, he was transferred to Cory Davidson. But since the Director was a busy man, he had been transferred to Deputy Head, Andrew Harley.
A simple two storey, squat house surrounded by a freshly mown lawn. Just as he stepped forward, C.J put her hand in front of him. He glared at her. "C.J, move."
"Wait for a second will you," she said, taking a step back. Carson bent down and pressed his thumb to a random floorboard, taking the keys out of his pocket and he stood up.
The torpedoes have been disabled. Welcome back, Mr. Harvey.
A robotic voice said as Benjamin looked up to see C.J's arm removed from in front of him. The smugness from her face was gone, a scowl replacing it. "I thought you Blind Spot agents were elite. But I see why the Agency's reputation is going down—agents like you are getting recruited."
She walked up the steps as Carson opened the door and Benjamin spoke his attempt of rebuttal. "You could at least thank me for saving your life."
"Oh because I needed saving?"
"Yes, you needed—"
"Braxton, one more word out of your mouth and I swear I will punch you in the face so hard your feet are going to feel it." Carson always ruined fighting with C.J. She always had one-up with Carson on her side.
The door slammed shut as the key clattered against the doorway table signaling their entry to the people already inside. Benjamin's eyes scoped over the room, immediately recognizing the agents present.
Benjamin knew the Director was sending a team of agents including Genevieve Wilfred, a temporary criminal-help in the case. He just hadn't expected them to be at Carson Harvey's house so soon.
He knew that Nicole Harvey—their team's weapons specialist—was a part of the Harvey family, but he didn't think much on that because Flynn walked toward him as soon as he realized who he was. An unsure grin spread on Benjamin's face as he returned Flynn's half-hug.
"Ben! What are you doing here?" Flynn asked.
"Me? What are you—?"
"If you ever try handcuffing me again," C.J seethed, dragging out each word. Quickly nearing him, she ripped his left arm out of Flynn's hand grasp. She bent it backwards, applying pressure to it and placed her other arm above his neck, keeping his face down. Benjamin cursed at the floor.
"I will snap your neck, Ben—"
"C.J!" Apparently, Nicole Harvey knew the infamous C.J. And with their reunion he was released. Flynn helped him up and walked them to the kitchen, leaving the room as soon as all conversations were finished.
But of course, Benjamin Braxton couldn't get away that easily.
He forgot he was in enemy territory. Carson Harvey walked past him and Flynn on to the kitchen, but not before punching Benjamin on the arm C.J had twisted.
