Chapter 3

"U-umi-chan..." Kotori said Umi's name in between of her heavy breathes

Umi touched Kotori's forehead to confirm if she has a fever

"K-Kotori! You're burning up! H-hang in there I'll bring you to the clinic!" she panicked. Umi immediately carried Kotori to the clinic

(At the clinic)

Kotori saw Umi sleeping beside her. She wonders how she ends up in the clinic.

"U...mi-chan"

"Ah! Kotori! You're awake now." she said while rubbing her eyes

"So are you Umi-chan" she said laughing

"A-ah" Umi just blush, smiling

"What happened? How did I end up here? D-don't tell me... Umi-chan brought me here...?" she blushed

"Yes. You're pale, breathing heavily & sweating a lot awhile ago so that's why I brought you here. How are you feeling? You scared me back there you know?! If you're not feeling well, you should've told me." she said with tears in her eyes

"A-ah! I'm feeling fine now. D-don't cry Umi-chan. I'm sorry!" she apologizes and stare at Umi's eyes

Umi is infront of Kotori and her face is just inches away.

"U-umi-chan you're face is too close..." Kotori murmurs

Umi didn't hear her. She asked Kotori what she said but Kotori said it's nothing

'ah... you're really beautiful Umi-chan. I really love that long blue hair of yours, your beautiful eyes, everything! Whaー What am I thinking? Oh no my heart is beating fast! This is wrong. Umi-chan is my friend, my bestfriend, I don't want to ruin our friendship just because of this.' she realizes that she's staring at Umi for awhile now so she immediately averted her gaze then blushed, her face is red like a tomato.

Umi noticed that Kotori's face is red. She tried to put her hand on Kotori's forehead to check her temperature but Kotori immediately face the other side.

Kotori suddenly changed the topic

"By the way Umi-chan, where's Honoka-chan?" she asked

"Ah! Honoka came here awhile ago. I called her to inform her about you and... (because I panicked) but she didn't stay for long. She said that her mother called and ask her to come home to help them out at their store they have a lot of customer it seems." she answered

"Oh I see"

"Kotori! Are you really ok now?" she asked while fixing her things

"Yes I am, Umi-chan! Let's go home now it's kinda late too" Kotori tried to stand up

Umi saw Kotori standing up so she lend her a hand

"Ok! I'll accompany you home."

"I-it's ok you don't have to"

But Umi insisted to walk Kotori home. Kotori didn't have any energy to argue so she just said ok

While on their way home. There's this awkward silence between them. Umi wanted to break it but don't know how.

"It's been awhile since we go home together. I mean just the two of us." Kotori finally broke the silence

"A...h now that you mention it, yes it is. It's fun being with Honoka but I can't always keep up with her energy... but being with you like this isn't bad, it's a change of pace so it's kinda relaxing" Umi said

Kotori blush when she hears that and Umi saw Kotori blush and just realized that she said something embarrassing so she also blushed

Finally they reach Kotori's house without saying another word

"I'm fine here Umi-chan... and thanks for taking care and accompanying me until here. You can go now. See you tomorrow!" Kotori thanked Umi and give her a smile

"Ah! N-no it's nothing. See you tomorrow then!" Umi smiled back at her

They parted their ways and said their goodbyes

School starts tomorrow (for me) so i really don't know when I'll be updating again (T.T) ...but don't worry I'll be updating this when I'm not that busy and I will not abandon this. ^_^
