A few weeks had passed since the incident. Saeranand Rika were undergoing psychiatric treatments to help them with theirbrainwashing. Ella had only found out recently that Saeran was actually Luciel'stwin brother and that Luciel's real name was Saeyoung. Rika and Saeran remainedat the clinic where they were allowed visits from the RFA, but the hardest partwas attending the funeral.

Ella looked down at the casket being lowered into the ground, her eyes dry. The other RFA members stood next to her in silence. There was nothing they could do or say to her now.

"Ella," Yoosung's voice cracked once the service was over and they headed to the car. "I'm sorry that things ended this way."

"So am I," she whispered.

They parted ways and Ella headed towards the rose garden, basking in the scent of the roses, tears streaming down her eyes.

If she hadn't been so weak, this wouldn't have happened. Then again, if she hadn't been kidnapped, she wasn't sure that they would have ever found out about the hacker. She still had so many unanswered questions as she had only just been released from the hospital herself. Since she had only been hypnotized, her treatments weren't as tough as Rika and Saeran's were, but she still had to see her psychiatrist more times a week than she cared to.

"Why are you out here all by yourself?"

The voice startled her. That voice. Tears stung her eyes, blurring her vision as she saw the shape of Jumin's body.

"Don't cry," he said, but she couldn't help it. Ella closed her eyes and sobbed into her hands.

"I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry," she repeated over and over, wrapping her arms around her body and falling to her knees. She hung her head. "Everything was my fault."

"It wasn't your fault."

"Everything was my fault! He brainwashed everyone into thinking that they could all be some kind of modern version of Robin Hood, but instead of helping the poor they were only helping themselves!"

She swiped at the tears angrily, looking ahead at the man crouched in front of her. He reached his hand out to her, but she backed away from him.

"I don't deserve it," she said, lowering her gaze. To her surprise, she felt his strong arms around her, pulling her into his chest. She could smell his scent. Without meaning to, she melted into his arms.

"Don't punish me too by avoiding me," he pleaded. He tilted her chin up so he could look into her eyes.

"My father tried to kill your father, he almost had you killed too!" she cried out.

"Yes, but that didn't happen. Remember? You are the one that saved me. You stepped in front of me and took the bullet that was meant for me. That was the bravest and most selfless thing that anyone has ever done for me."

"Why didn't V know about my father?"

"He said that he thought he was leaving Rika in a psychiatric facility. Everything looked legit, including the paperwork. Your father forged the papers. We did some more digging and realized that everything started with my father's betrayal of yours. They were friends in school. Your father wanted to start up a business with mine, but my father found out that yours was interested in brainwashing and hypnotizing people into believing that they weren't sick." He shook his head in disbelief.

"My father didn't agree with this and he almost turned him over to the police when he found out that your father was working on some kind of drug to help with the brainwashing."
