We stayed in the house and hand moved into our rooms to change into actual clothing. I can't help but think about Cameron and how he probably isn't going to come unless one of us convinces him or annoys the hell out of him. After half an hour of waiting around Ferris tried again. I could hear him mumbling through the walls but I couldn't hear clearly. I lay on my bed and look up at my ceiling. I've been since after the five minutes it took me to change.
I sigh and with that, I push myself out of bed and head downstairs. I walk in and my head turns towards the phone. As I thought before... Cameron wouldn't come unless we annoyed him. I care about the boy very much... clearly. But we need him to come out here. I take a few deep breaths and pick up the phone and dial Cameron's number.
"Ferris! At least give me a minute to get dressed!" He yelled into the machine. I laughed at his anger because I wasn't Ferris.
"Oh? So you are coming? I was a little worried for a second there" I know my voice has probably caught him off guard. He never expects me to call.
"Y/N?! What? What are- Where are you?!" I heard a few crashes in between his sentences. Must be trying to get dressed and talk on the phone at the same time. I laugh again this time at his clumsiness.
"Haha! I've taken the day off with Ferris" I was a little afraid that he would get mad at me for that.
"Really?! Wait you mean your parents actually believed you this time?" he sounds just as shocked as I did when they left the house. Wait did he not believe that I could not fool my parents?! Mind you neither did I.
"Yeah, but if you think about it I haven't pulled the phony sick stunt since the 7th grade... anyways not to sound like Ferris or anything but can you please come to pick us up, I would really hate to have to hear Ferris complaining all day... and I would... really like to see you today" Oh God! I regret saying that last part right away.
"Well... since your taking the day off... *sigh* I guess I'll come out and also because you said 'please' which is something Ferris never does. We also have to celebrate you succeeding at fooling your parents." He sounds so happy. An ear to ear smile grows on my face and I am holding back the urge to jump with excitement. But I have to let it out a bit.
"Really?! Oh my god! Cameron, you're the best! I can't tell you how much I lo-" Oh shit! Y/N stop before you say something you regret! "I appreciate it" I calm down a bit before I released my secret. Although he will find out today... I can't let it out yet. We say our goodbyes and see you soon and hang up. I waited 5 seconds after hanging up the phone and began to jump up down.
"Yes!!!" I danced around the house with such excitement. This was going to be the best first fake sick day EVER!
*Little time skip because the author has a bad brain*
I wait anxiously for Cameron to come to the door. I was pacing back and forth in the kitchen when Ferris came downstairs.
"Hey when Cam gets here I need you to give him a job for me" I knew this one of Ferris's bad but good ideas.
"What?" I say with a little interest.
"When Cam gets here tell him that I need him to call Edward Rooney and get him to dismiss Sloane" I almost said okay as if it was nothing... but then the words actually processed. EDWARD ROONEY?! This worst principal ever hired. Rooney has been on my brother's ass for the last year, and he is creepy!! I swear just last week I bent down to grab a book I dropped and when I stood up I happened to turn around and see Rooney smiling at me. GROSS!!
"No! No way! I won't make him go through something like that. He would never agree to it in the first place"
"If it comes from you then he would" He smiled confidently and began to walk back upstairs. It took a second for the words to come to me.
