Cameron stood there... just... just smiling... but insanely, and I don't personally blame him.
"That isn't happening" He finally let out. I was glad we could agree on something.
"Yeah and that's what I told Ferris, believe me, I don't want to be the one to tell you to do this. He thinks that if I was able to convince you to come over... *sigh* that I would be able to convince you to do this" I sincerely felt bad, I wasn't trying to do a whole pouty face thing as you do with your parents to get your way. I bend down, put my elbow on the kitchen island, and my head in my hands. A few seconds passed then there is a sigh and a hand on my back. Looking up I saw Cam giving me the sympathetic eyes.
"Okay. I'll do it"
"Cam you don't have to, I don't want you to do something that would make you uncomfortable, although I don't think you really have a choice in the matter, with Ferris and all"
"Y/N, I want this to be the best first day off for you ever, and besides... it's one phone call" I really appreciated his willingness, but it made me feel bad that he would do it just for me.
"Aren't you sweet doing my sister this favor?" Ferris said behind us. We both looked at him. Cam I think was happy to see his friend... I was just a little unimpressed.
"How long were you standing there for?" I ask straightening my back removing every part of my body off the kitchen island.
"Only for the last 5 seconds. I actually just finished calling the school to say Sloane's grandmother croaked" he said with a smile. I became instantly concerned. Not only because of Sloane's grandmother but also because my brother was smiling about someone's death. Cameron and I look at each other with wide eyes and look back at Ferris.
"What?!" Cam and I said at the same time.
"Relax, she didn't actually, but I needed a really good excuse to get Sloane out of school" I still disagreed with it. "So in about 10 or so minutes call Ed and tell him to release Sloane from school, oh and don't sound like you" That's not complicated at ALL!!
