A/n: sorry for being gone for months, but this is my senior year so you can imagine I've been busy. Just wanted to let you know that.
Now I can imagine your reaction to me mentioning of the word running. It probably makes you wish you were good at it so you could just run from this book altogether, but to bad your here now.
So to start off you need to know how fast you can run 1 mile, so you can start to properly pace yourself, and remember everyone improves at there own pace so don't feel self conscious if not moving fast in the beginning, and don't worry if look silly while running either, the point is that you're trying your best.
To start is simple enough find a nice wide open area - preferably near a road, gravel path, or side walk - I personally use the Nike+ run app to record all my runs, but it can be glitchy at times with the GPS and miscalculates speed so use a stop watch or ask a friend to time for you if possible to as accurate as you can.
Now that you have your fastest time (let's say 10 minutes), now it's time to calculate your training pace, and I know math sucks so I something to do the calculations for you
Google "RunnersWorld Training Pace Calculator" to find out how fast you should be going in the beginning to avoid injuries.
A/N: Now I know there aren't a lot of you but thanks for reading this far and sorry for the wait I have a habit of Procrastinating on my work, and I had free time in school so I did this. Next time I'll talk about shine splints and how to avoid getting them.
