Bonding

I woke up the next morning wrapped in Danny's arms. I looked at up at his face. He looked so peaceful. His usual stern face had melted away through the night.

I sat up and I regretted it. I was in so much pain! Worst than any period cramp I ever had!

Danny moved closer. He must have felt my pain through our bond. But he didn't wake up.

I slowly got out of the bed, fighting the pain, and half waddled to the bath room.

A funny feeling washed over me. I couldn't really shake it. I turned on the water and the feeling got stronger.

And suddenly I knew what the feeling was. My animal missed Danny. But it wasn't just my animal I was feeling, I was feeling Danny through our Bond.

I really wasn't ever going to get used to this. It was to much! Overpowering! It seeped under my skin! It was killing me! I can't do-

Danny's arms swept around me. "Shh, baby, shh. I'm here now. Your okay..." He purred into my ear. And he was right, as soon as he touched me, I was okay.

We stood there while the water ran over us. My heart still pounding in my chest from my panic attack. And Danny just holding me.

Then I slowly turned around. and I raised myself onto my tip toes and pulled his head toward mine. Our lips met, and the bond opened up.

But it wasn't just his feelings that came to me. It was memories.

I saw a younger version of Danny, maybe 19 or 20, and he was running in a solders uniform. Then I saw what he was running at.

It was a little girl.

He grabbed her a shielded her with his body, as an explosion went off.

I gasped and let go of Danny, I slipped and almost hit my head on the wall. But Danny reached out and caught me.

"I thought you were never on the field!" I said.

He looked at me. "Thats what my farther wanting everyone to believe." he just shrugged and pulled me to him again.
