ch.10

Jackie's pov
I was hugging Greyson for a good 5 minutes before he pushed me away. I felt a little sad. Hugging Greyson was kinda nice.
"Jackie I think we should be heading to the movies now. It's 5:30 now. You know the theater is about 30 minutes from here." Greyson said.
"Oh that's right. Sorry it kinda slipped my mind  when I seen you so upset." I said.
Greyson smiled at me alittle.
"It's ok. We still have time to make it if we leave now." Greyson said as he got up off the couch.
I nodded and got up too. Greyson and I walked out the door and got in the car. I got in the passenger side and Greyson in the driver's side. We pulled out of the driveway to go to the movies.
"So...... What are you watching?" I ask.
"Not sure yet. Maybe Avengers? I heard they are replaying alot of super hero movies at the theater." Greyson said.
"Well it sounds good to me." I said.
It got quiet again but only for a few minutes.
"So after the movie want to go out for pizza?" Greyson ask.
"Sure. I could eat." I said.
"Ok. We'll go to the new pizza place that opened last week. I had gotten the chance to try it yet." Greyson said.
"Sounds fine." I said as I looked out the window.
Greyson looked over at me then back at the road.
"Is something wrong?" Greyson ask.
"No. I'm fine." I lied to him.
I didn't want to tell him what I was thinking about. It may upset him. I didn't want him to know I was thinking about what Mason and I talked about earlier. What if Greyson is Mason's brother? What if his dad wants to take him away? What if I lose Greyson all because of this? I need answers.
"Jackie..... I know you're lying to me. Tell me what's wrong?" Greyson said as he put one of his hand on mine.
I can't tell him. Not until I know for sure.
"It's nothing important. I'm just thinking about how I'm going to help my friend with their problem." I said.
"Well. I'm sure you have nothing to worry about. You're the kindest and most helpful person I know. If you're trying to help your friend, I'm sure you'll find a way." Greyson said with a smile.
"I hope you're right." I said as I looked at him.
"I know I am." Greyson said with a small.

A few minutes later, we pulled up at the movies. Greyson parked the car and we got out and walked to get in line to get tickets. After we got our tickets, we went inside to get popcorn and drinks.
"Go ahead and get in line I'm going to run to the bathroom." I said.
"Ok. I'll be waiting by the door in front of screening room 3 after I get popcorn." Greyson said.
"Ok. I'll be right back." I said.
I walked off and went in the women's bathroom.

*5 minutes later*
I came out of the bathroom and seen Dani with her little brother, Kyler. I walked over to them to say hey.
"Hey Dani?" I said.
Dani and Kyler looked at me.
"Hey Jackie? Why are you at the movies by yourself?" Dani said as she looked around.
"I'm not alone. Greyson is waiting for me at door 3." I said.
"Oh ok. That's to bad. We're not seeing the same movie. I'm going to door 7. I haven't gotten to see you must since what happened at the fair. I wanted to say sorry about what happened." Dani said.
"It's not you're fault. So it's ok. If you want we can hang out sometime." I said.
"That would be great. Maybe we can hang out tomorrow?" Dani said.
"Well tomorrow I'm meeting a friend at the park. But I will probably be free tomorrow afternoon. I can text you when I'm done." I said.
"That will be fine." Dani said.
"Great. What movie are you see anyways?" I ask.
"I'm see Aqua Man." Dani said.
"I don't want to watch Aqua Man. I want to watch Power Rangers." Kyler screamed loudly.
"You knew I was coming to watch Aqua Man. If you don't want to see it why did you come?" Dani ask Kyler.
"Because Mom told me I had to go with you. I didn't want to go shopping." Kyler said.
I see where this is going so I'm going to leave now.
"Bye Dani. I'll see you later." I said as I walked away.
I walked down to door 3 and Greyson was standing there waiting for me.
"Where have you been?" Greyson ask.
"I'm sorry. I seen Dani and I stopped to talk to her for a few minutes." I said.
"Ok. Well let's go watch the movie now." Greyson said.
We walked in and got our seats. Greyson put his arm around me. I seen people staring at us.
"Greyson...... What are you doing?" I ask.
"Shhhhhh child the movie is starting." Greyson said.
I rolled my eyes at him.

Greyson's pov
*4 hours later*
Jackie and I finally made it back home after the movie and after we got pizza. We walked in the house.
"That was crazy Greyson." Jackie laughed.
"What?" I said with a smile.
"You know. What you did at the pizza place?" Jackie said.
"Oh please don't remind me." I said.
"Come on Greyson. It was so sweet." Jackie said.
"No. It was embarrassing." I said.
"No it wasn't. It was so cute. I didn't know you could sing." Jackie said.
"I can't. I didn't know a pizza place had a karaoke machine. The only reason I did it was because of you. You say come on Greyson. It'll be fun Greyson." I said.
"Did you not have fun?" Jackie ask.
"Yes I did." I said.
"Then what are you complaining about?" Jackie said.
"I'm complaining because the song you chose for me." I said.
"I wasn't that bad. You said you like that song? What's wrong with singing it if you enjoy it? You really got into that song." Jackie said.
"Well I guess nothing. But I'm not sing Avril no more in public." I said.
"I really wouldn't count that was public. It was only us and an older couple there." Jackie said.
"You get my point." I said.
Jackie shook her head.
"Well I'm going to bed now." Jackie said as she walked off.
It guess she's right. I walked to my room and closed the door. I changed into my PJs and laid down on the bed. I looked at the wall but I couldn't sleep. I got up and walked down the hall to Jackie's room and opened the door.
"I'm sorry for disturbing you. I couldn't sleep. I was wondering if-" I was cut off by Jackie crying.
Jackie looked at me with hurt. I ran over to her and hugged her.
"What's wrong child?" I ask.
"Nothing!" Jackie said.
"You can tell me anything Jackie." I said.
"I was just thinking about when you leave. I know you did alot of mean things but I don't want you to leave. I don't want to be alone again." Jackie said as she cried.
Why does she think I'm leaving? What does she mean alone again?
"I promise. I'm not going anywhere. I'll be here for you no matter what." I said as I still had her in my arms.
"Promise?" Jackie said as she wrapped her arms around me.
"I promise. Now are you going to be ok?" I said.
"Yes....... Greyson do you mind staying with me for awhile. I don't want to be alone." Jackie said
"I guess so. Now laid down and relax child will be ok. I'll be right here." I said.
Jackie let go of me and leaned back against the wall. She looked at me. I went over and sat beside her. She laid her head on my shoulder.
"I'm glad. I can finally talk to you Greyson." Jackie said.
"Me too." I said.
I kinda felt happy. I hope things will stay this way but I know some how I'll probably mess this up.
