        Jackie's pov
          *The next day*
I was in the kitchen eating breakfast and thinking about the cook out later. I was little stressed out about going to the cook out.  It wasn't because I was meeting Mason's family. I think it was because Greyson and Dianne are coming. I mean what if Mason's dad is actually Greyson's dad too. It could mess the whole day up. Everyone could be stressed out. It might be weird between them.

"Hey what are you thinking about there?" Greyson yawned as he walked in the kitchen.
I turned around and looked at him.
"It's nothing." I said.
"You looked awfully spaced out for it to  be nothing." Greyson said.
"It's nothing, Greyson." I said.
"Was it something I done?...... If it has something to do with what happened last night, I'm sorry. I should have stopped when you said so." Greyson said.
"No Greyson. It doesn't have anything to do with you tickling me last night. I know you was just messing around." I said.
"Oh..... Good....... Then what's wrong?" Greyson ask.
I guess I'll tell him alittle.
"It's just I was thinking Mason and his dad are really close. I was worried it would bother you seeing them so happy together since you never had a father." I said.
Greyson looked down for a minute then looked back up at me.
"Don't feel bad for me, Jackie. It's ok that I don't have a father. I never wanted one anyways. So I'll be fine." Greyson said.
I'm probably going to wish I didn't ask this but I need to know an answer.
"You never once wondered who your dad was?" I ask.
Greyson looked dead at me. He looked alittle angry.
"Why would I care who he is? He was never in my life anyways?" Greyson snapped alittle.
I jumped back in my seat alittle.
"It was just a question." I said.
"Look...... I'm sorry..... It's just a hard topic for me. My father was never in my life. When I was little I did want to know. I would ask my mom about him. Like who he was? What was he like? Why he wasn't in my life? How they met? But it was always the same answers 'its best you don't know.' or ' I was young and stupid. When I met him.'  She never gave me an answer. So I stopped asking." Greyson said.
"I understand. Maybe one day you're mom will change her mind and tell you the truth about why she doesn't talk about him." I said.
"Probably not. But it doesn't matter anymore." Greyson said.

"Well anyways...... Mason wants us to come over early to go shopping with him. He said that his dad ask him to go pick up the stuff for the cook out. He doesn't want to go alone. Your mom said she'll meet us there later." I said.
Greyson rolled his eyes.
"I don't want to go to the grocery store." Greyson said.
"Come on Greyson. He doesn't want to go alone. I told him we would go with him." I said.
" Fine. I'll go for you then." Greyson said.
"Good. We'll go to the cabin in an hour then. So we should probably get dressed and go." I said.
"Ugh. Fine." Greyson said as he walked off.

*1 hour and 30 minutes later*
We finally made it to the cabin Mason was staying in.
"I think this is the place." I said.
"I guess so." Greyson said.
I started to get out of the car. Greyson was still sitting there. I looked at him.
"Are you getting out?" I ask.
"Why would I do that when we're leaving in a few minutes to go to the store?" Greyson said.
"Whatever Greyson. I'll be right back." I said.
I walked to the front door and knocked on it. I waited a few minutes. No one answered. I knocked again. The door opened and I seen a tall man maybe in his 30s standing there. He had dark brown hair and the same auburn eyes as Greyson. He looked just like Greyson but older. He smiled at me.
"You must be Jackie. I heard so much about you from Mason." The guy said.
"Um..... Yes....." I said.
"I'm Mason's dad, Gray. So where's your room mate? Mason said he was coming with you?" Gray said.
"Oh..... Greyson is in the car. He's being a pain in the butt and didn't want to get out. We came to pick Mason up because he didn't want to go to the store alone." I said.
Gray's face looked alittle shocked.
"My name is actually Grayson too. But I go by Gray. I'll get Mason for you. He's in his room. " Gray said.
Gray walked off and left the door open. A few minutes later he came back with Mason.
"Bye Dad I'll be back later." Mason said.
"Bye Mason. I'm going to go clean the grill and set up for the cook out. I'll probably be around over back when you get back." Gray said.
Mason nodded then looked at me.
"Are you ready?" I ask.
"Yes. Let's go." Mason said.
We walked back to the car and Greyson looked mad. We got in and put our seats belts on.  Greyson started driving.
"What's wrong with you?" I ask.
"What took you so long?" Greyson ask.
"I'm sorry. That was my bad. I was still getting dressed." Mason said.
Greyson rolled his eyes.
"Is he always like this?" Mason whispered to me.
"Pretty much. He isn't good with people." I said.
"You know I can hear you." Greyson said.
"I know. I'm not talking bad about you. I'm just saying your a loner and not good with people. Is it not true?" I said.
"No it's true." Greyson said.
"Then what are you mad about?" I ask.
"Nothing." Greyson said.
"I know you're lying." I said.
"It's just what we were talking about earlier." Greyson said.
"I understand that. But you don't have to be an ass." I said.
Mason looked so confused in the backseat.  Everything got quiet. We did talk the rest of the way to the store.

              Greyson's pov
We pulled in the parking lot of the store. Jackie was so quiet. I think I made her upset. I was just upset seeing her with Mason. I didn't like seeing her with other guys.
"We're here." I said.
Jackie and Mason got out of the car and walked in the store. I got out too and follow them.
"What all do you need?" I ask.
Mason looked confused.
"Wait? You're asking me?" Mason said confused.
"Yes? You're the one the need to come here. I just wanted to get this over with." I said.
"Well, I need 7 steaks, a pack of hot dogs, sweet tea, lemonade, chips and dip, and potato salad and plates and cups." Mason said.
"Is that all?" I said sarcastically.
"Greyson don't be a smart ass." Jackie said.
I rolled my eyes.
"It's ok, Jackie. I understand he doesn't want to be here any longer than we have to be." Mason said.
"Let's get it over with." I said.

         *2 hours later*
Mason finally finished his shopping. We are finally back at the cabin.
"Jackie? Greyson? Do you mind helping with the bags?" Mason ask.
"No." I said.
"Greyson stop being an ass. Come on let's help him." Jackie said.
"Fine." I said.
Jackie and I grabbed a few of the bags.
"Thank you." Mason said.
"You're welcome." Jackie said.
"Let's go ahead and take them around back. My dad probably has the grill ready. " Mason said.
Mason walked around back. We followed him.
"Hey Dad? We're back." Mason said.
There was a man facing the grill in front of the lake. I guess that's his dad.
"Ok son. Put the stuff on the table and then go get the girls. They are in their room." The man said.
"Ok Dad." Mason said.
Mason sat the bag he had on the table. He went in the house. Jackie and I sat our bags down too.
"Now what?" I ask.
"I don't know. " Jackie said.
The man still didn't turn around.
"Jackie do you mind handing me the steaks?" The man ask.
"Sure..... Gray?" Jackie said as she took him the steaks.
"Thank you." Gray said as he put them on the grill.
"You're welcome." Jackie said.
Gray looked at Jackie.
"Did you room mate get out of the car?" Gray ask.
Room Mate? Are you talking about me? Jackie took in a deep breath and let it out. She looked nervous.
"Yes...... He's standing right there." Jackie said as she pointed in my direction.
Gray looked over at me. I felt my heart drop and my stomach was tight. His auburn eyes stared at me. We were both just staring at each other.  I couldn't say anything. Gray walked closer to me.
"Is your mother Dianne Williams?" Gray ask.
I felt a little scared. How does he know my mom's name.
"Yes?" I said
Gray smiled at me and hugged me. I heard him start crying.
"I can't believe it's you. It's really you. I been looking for you for so long." Gray said.
"Who......are...... you?" I ask as I started shaking.
