Ch.16

Jackie's pov
*3 days later*
Greyson has been acting weird the last couple of days. He's been this way since he found out the truth about his father. He ask me to go to the concert with him last night and to help him get his mind off of things. It was a lot of fun and Greyson was happy until he seen Gray and Mason. After that Greyson burst into tears and ran out off. I don't understand what is going on with him. He won't talk to me. When we came back home he locked himself in his room and hasn't came out. I just wanted to know he's ok. I'm going to give him space for tonight because Dani, Riley, and Mason are supposed to come over for a sleep over. This will be the first time Mason gets to meet my friends. I ask Dianne on Thursday she said it was fine with her. But I still wish Greyson would come instead of staying in his room.

I was ordering the pizza for the sleep over and was getting set up when I heard a knock on the door. I answer it and see Dani standing there.
"You're here early?" I said.
"I know. My little brother was being a little brat so I decided to come early." Dani said.
"What happened this time?" I ask.
"He's eat the cookies in my room. I got onto him for it. I told my mom and she like 'well you have to share.' but they were mine and he has no right to get into my stuff." Dani said as she crossed her.
"Oh....well then. Come in. Where's Riley? I thought you were picking her up?" I said.
Dani walked in and took her bag to my room. She came back.
"She told me her girlfriend is in town and she's going to drop her off." Dani said.
"Girlfriend? I thought Riley was dating a boy?" I said confused.
"Me too. But the guy she was talking to online and ask to meet up. When they did he was actually a girl. But Riley didn't care and she stayed with them." Dani said.
"Dang I missed a lot since we haven't gotten to talk much. How's things with Cory since the break up? I was going to ask sooner but...... I couldn't." I said as I looked down.
Dani rolled her eyes.
"He's a dick. He won't stop texting me." Dani said.
"Then block him." I said.
"I can't. Because I...." Dani was about to finish that sentence but I stopped her.
"I know you love that asshole. I don't understand why when all he does is make you cry." I said as I rolled my eyes.
But I really shouldn't say anything because I think I'm in love with Greyson. He's a huge asshole and rude at times.
"I do. I want to move on but I can't. He won't let me. How are you doing since you and Zeke aren't together? I didn't want to ask but you ask about Cory first? " Dani said.
I told her to block his ass but she won't listen. Anyway I'm not going to say anything else. I don't want to talk about Zeke. I hate him.
" I'm actually good. I don't have to put up with his abuse no more. And it gives me the freedom to focus on the one I really care about." I said.
"Oh and who's that? If you're not seeing Zeke anymore who gave you that cut?" Dani ask.
I can't tell Dani I care about Greyson. He's sees him as my step brother and she'll think I'm weird.
"No one special. And Greyson did it. I really can't talk about what happened. But all I can say is Greyson got scared. I went to grab the knife. It slipped. " I said.
"Oh..... Ok." Dani said.
"Dani before I forget. I invited my other friend. I want you and Riley to meet them. They are new around here. Be nice." I said.
"Ok. Long as they aren't rude to me." Dani said.
"They are really nice. I think you'll like them." I said as I smiled.
I hope everything going the way I planned it.

*1 hour later*
Riley finally showed up and went in the bathroom to change. I was still waiting on Mason. He's supposed to be here any minute. Dani and I were sitting on the couch.
"Do you think Riley is about done in the bathroom? I need to put my PJs on." Dani said.
"Just go change in my closet. No one will go in there." I said.
"Fine. I'll be right back." Dani said as she got up and walked off.
As Dani walked off there was a knock on the door. I got up and answered it. Mason was standing there in his pjs and he smiled.
"I'm sorry I'm late. I stopped to get cupcakes for everyone. I stopped to change at the store because I was running behind. I want to make good first impression on your friends. I want my big brother to like me." Mason said.
I could tell he was nerve. I laughed alittle.
"Go set them in the kitchen. You can put your bag in my room. You may want to leave Greyson alone he's moody today." I said.
"Oh.... Ok then. I'll be right back." Mason said.
"Well you can wait for me in there I'll come get you soon as the pizza is here." I said.
Mason nodded and walked off.
I sat back down and waited for the pizza.

Mason's pov
I sat the cupcakes down and went in Jackie's room. I sat down on the edge of the bed. I heard someone hit the door. I look and see Greyson standing there. He looked mad.
"Oh..... Hey Greyson. How are you?" I ask.
Greyson walked over to me.
"Don't play that with me. I know what your up too." Greyson said.
I was confused as to what he was talking about.
"What are you talking about?" I ask.
Greyson rolled his eyes.
"You're trying to steal Jackie away. Well mister it's not going to work. No one is going to steal my Jackie again. I don't want her hurt because of you." Greyson said.
I wanted to laugh but couldn't.
"I don't want Jackie like that. She's just a friend." I said.
"I don't believe you." Greyson said.
Greyson grabbed my shirt and opened the closest.
"You can come out tomorrow." Greyson said.
Greyson threw me in there. I hit something and fell on top of it. It was kinda dark so I couldn't see.
"GET OFF OF ME!!!!" A female screamed and pushed me back.
"I'm .....s.....s... sorry. But I was pushed in here." I said as my face turned red.
The light came on. I seen a girl with purplish black hair looking at me. She looked mad. I looked down.
"Oh. I believe that Greyson. You were trying to attack me." The girl said.
I look up at her.
"I'm not Greyson. Greyson is the one the pushed me in here. I'm Mason." I said.
The girl looked in my eyes and jumped back.
"Oh..... I'm sorry. I thought you were Greyson. Every time I come over here he attacks me and runs me off. I thought he was going to tackle me and pull me out of the door again. Like last time." The girl said.
"Why did he do that?" I ask.
"It probably has to do with the the fact my ex is Jackie's ex best friend. And he still talks to me. Greyson hates them." The girl said.
I didn't know what to say.
"What's your name?" I ask.
"I'm Danielle. But call me Dani." Dani said.
"Well Dani. It looks like when stuck here awhile. So we might as well get to know each other........ Well of course it you want to........ I meant we'll probably be around each because of Jackie......." I said as my face turned red again.
Dani laughed at me.
"That's fine." Dani said.
