"MAMA! I'M GOING TO VISIT ITUKO!" Adrian called.

"Stay safe!" I called back, sighing.

"Geez, he sure does like that Ituko kid." Ashley sighed. I laughed.

"They're friends, of course they do."

"Hope he'll be able to accept it when we head back to Canada," she sighed, shaking her head. I smiled, and kissed her cheek.

"SIS! STOP BEING GAY WITH ASH AND COME HELP ME MAKE FOOD!" Ellie yelled from the room next door. Ashley snickered, and I sighed, exiting the room to go see them.

"My ears..." Koki was whining when I came in, as he held his wolf ears.

"Ah! Sorry Koki!" Ellie frowned, running over to her boyfriend and hugging him. I shook my head, laughing quietly, and went to their stove. It looked like Ellie was attempting to make tacos, she had everything laid out, and was cooking the ground beef.

"I'll get Karina, so she can help." I said, exiting. Ellie nodded, apologizing to Koki again, before going back to the stove.

I left the room, and went to grab Karina.

We came back, and saw Koki grading the cheese. Ashley had come over too, and was pulling out seasonings for Ellie.

"Welcome back! Can you get the vegetables and cut them?" Ellie asked.

"Aww, I wanted to cut the vegetables!" Ashley sighed.

"Ash, the last thing I will ever do in the kitchen is trust you with a knife." Ellie replied.

"That's fair I guess," my ginger haired wife shrugged.

I laughed, and grabbed the vegetables, handing them to Karina as she grabbed a knife and a cutting board, immediately starting to cut them.

I called Adrian, telling him to start coming home for dinner, then went back to help Karina.

"So, this Vettel chick," Ashley began.

"Long story short, she's an asshole and just wants make Izuku's life harder," Ellie sighed, "All I have to say about her dead husband is good riddance."

"Ellie, that's disrespectful," I chided, "I didn't like them either, but Mrs. Vettel did care about her husband."

"We'll I didn't, he was an asshole." Ellie sighed.

"I heard he was abusive?" Koki asked.

"Should we be talking about this in front of Karina?" I asked.

"I'm fine Mama," Karina replied.

"Ah, she's old enough to participate in these conversations." Ashley shrugged. I nodded.

"Answering the question, yeah. The Vettels were domestically abusing Izuku for the majority of his childhood and teenage years after his mom died." Ellie sighed.

"It took a little while," I said, "but his biological dad finally showed up while our class was visiting UA. They moved away, and we all thought we had seen the last of the Vettels..."

"But then Tara called us, and told us about their rescue mission." Ashley finished. Ellie nodded.

"But, now she's living with the Bakugo family?" Koki asked.

"If Vettel abused your friend for most of his life, why would she move in with him? Doesn't she hate him?" Karina asked.

"Because she wants to make his life miserable," Ellie replied.

"But if you really do hate someone like that, wouldn't you just stay away from them instead of interfering? If they truly did something, karma would get them." Karina said.

"Some people don't believe in karma," I replied, sighing lightly.

"I dunno, I think Karina's onto something..." Ashley glanced down at our daughter.

"I just thought, maybe there's an ulterior motive," Karina stated, "a hidden reason she's staying with them."

Everyone was silent. My daughter suddenly turned slightly red.

"Or, maybe not-"

"Karina, that's brilliant!" I exclaimed.

"Huh?"

"Holy shit, our daughter's a genius," Ashley stated.

"Should we tell the others?" Koki asked.

"I'll call them," Ellie said, moving to the phone. I continued cooking the beef for her.

I heard the phone ringing, and picked it up, answering it.

"Bakugo household," I said gruffly, not wanting to deal with some bullshit scammer or something.

"KATSUKI!" I winced, and held the phone away from my ear when a familiar voice yelled.

"Ow! What the fuck Starfire, that was my ear!"

"Oh, sorry. Anyway, Karina had an idea."

"Who?"

"Pearl's daughter."

"The ginger-blonde kid?"

"Yeah, her. Anyway, she had an idea!"

"Which is?"

"Vettel has an ulterior motive for staying with you."

That was an interesting idea. It hadn't crossed my mind before, but now that I thought about it... it was definitely possible.

"Well, it's possible. I'll tell Izu when he gets home." I said.

"I'll call you again with details." Ellie replied, hanging up. I sighed, putting the phone down. My brain was spinning with thoughts now.

"If Tanya does have an ulterior motive for being here... what is it?" I muttered.

The door opened.

"I'm home!" I smiled when I heard Izuku, and straightened up to greet him.

"Hey Izuku," I smiled at him, and he smiled back, kissing my cheek. Once he got settled in, I told him what Ellie had told me.

"Hmm... it's definitely a possibility, but we can't just ask her." He said.

"We could do some digging on her name," I suggested, "see if we can find anything. That, or we could set up a camera in the basement."

"She would notice a camera though." He replied.

"Not if we hide it." I said. He laughed.

"Alright Kacchan, but let's start with looking for information." He said.

I nodded, "We can talk to them later for more information."

He nodded.
