Well it's about time Vitya.
"So, you have your short program choreographed but not your free skate?" I nodded my head yes as I faced Victor in the center of the ice. He's just finished giving the two Yuri's their assignments and gave them the rest of the day to themselves, so he could help me with my program. But the two idiots decided to stay back just to watch for a bit.
Skating over to him, I brought out my phone with my earbuds plugged into it, as he plugged them into his ears waiting for me to play the song for my program.
You Don't Give Up on Love.
After going through songs after songs with Tatiana, nothing sounded right, until she found this one. It was very beautiful and I liked it a lot, but I didn't know how I was gonna make a routine with it, but Tatiana decided to take care of it.
She added several difficult elements, but it also showed off my strong points and specialties. It's only a matter of practicing it and putting it into play.
"And can you show me the program before we get started? It's all right if you mess up, after all that's what you need help with right?" He smiled kindly, as I nodded. He skated off the rink to give me room.
It's definitely not GPF ready, but considering I learned it last week it's not that bad.
Plugging my earbuds into my ears, I got into my opening position as the music began to fill my ears. I was on one knee, with my finger on the ice, creating circles, before snapping my head up as a loud lightning sounds played, and standing up.
I skated backwards looking up, opening my arms and spreading my feet wider, before starting the technical part of the routine.
My first jump is a triple lutz, triple toe loop combination.
I positioned myself backwards for the jump, driving the tip of my blade into the ice, and used the outside edge of my other foot to direct the movement, before jumping, turning three times, landing it with a bit of an edge problem. Then continuing, I went for a forward approach on the inside edge of the blade then switching to a backward-facing position before taking off, landing it pretty perfectly.
Wow, that jump was even better than in practice. Nice job me.
As I continued the program, my next jump was a double axel, which I landed on point. Two turns are pretty easy for me, since I've been doing them for so long.
Raising my leg up, I turned several time on one foot with loops. Then continuing into a flying catch foot parallel spin, or a half biellman spin, where I go into a flying parallel spin, then raising my free leg upwards from behind with both hands.
Most of my program is the technical step sequence with several loops, and leg raising, and turns.
It's the second half of the program now, okay now I'm starting to get tired.
Gliding across the ice, I raised my leg up into the air, before getting into position for a jump, and went into a triple flip, which I didn't land.
Crap.
Standing up as fast as I could, I continued my program. Now's my signature move and specialty, the hyperextended biellmann spin, where I entered into a layback spin, before pulling my other leg and extending it over and behind the head, which also forms a teardrop shape with the body some say.
Almost done, all that's left is a combination spin, a parallel spin, into a sit spin before letting go as the blade glided across the ice, hiding my face with my hand, and ends into an I spin, holding the leg up to the side of my head.
