Chapter 2: The New Turtle

Leo's pov

We we're all shocked to find out there really was another mutant in town, turns out Hun was right after all. The mutant slowly woke up and stood up, we just stared for a few seconds not knowing what to say, "Um...Hello there.." I spoke hoping they would respond back, "Um, hi there..." the voice was a female, everyone's eyes widen once they heard this mutant was a female, we never met any female mutants, "Whoa...are you a girl?" Mikey asked and he seemed fascinated, "Yes I am, why?" the female mutant asked probably thinking who would ask an obvious question, "Its because we never seen mutants like you before, especially female ones" I told her, "You're joking...right?" she ask, "I wish I could say I was kidding, but I'm not." I told her once again in a more serious tone of voice, she stood there not knowing what to say, probably lost on what in the world is happening, "So what kind of mutant are you? If you don't mind me asking." Donnie asked, he also seemed fascinated and really wanted to learn more, "Well, I'm a turtle, just like you guys are, except I wear clothes." she explained, we all looked at each other with widen eyes, we never met or seen a female turtle before, we didn't even know there was a female turtle roaming around New York, this was gonna be a long night. "I know this might sound really silly but, do you have a name?" April asked, "Yeah, the names DaJah" she told us, "oh well nice to meet you." April replied with a smile, I spoke up, "So DaJah, allow me to introduce myself, my name's Leonardo but you can call me Leo." I said developing a little smile, "And these are my brothers Raphael, or Raph for short, Donatello also known as Donnie and my little brother Michelangelo also known as Mikey, and this is my friend April." I told her, she smiled and look at all of us "Nice to meet you all."

About after 15-20 of getting to know each other, it was getting late and we were all ready to head back home, and so Splinter doesn't ground us, April already headed back home with the accompany of Donnie of course, he just wanted her to get home safely but anyway, "So, do you have a place to stay?" I asked, she looked like she didn't wanna answer at first, "I um...I don't actually, I've been living in an old broken abandoned building near here and I've been living off dumpster food behind restaurants." Her voice got softer and sounded really sad, I felt bad knowing she had no home and had to eat out of dumpsters to survive, "Excuse me for a second." I told her as I pulled Mikey and Raph to the side, "You think Splinter will be okay with us bringing home a mutant?" I asked knowing they're probably not happy with the idea, especially when it comes to Splinter, "What? No way! sensei won't allow that! Especially what happened all the other times we brought strangers home!" Raph said in anger, "But, maybe this time nothing bad won't happen." I replied back, "No way! She could be one of Shredder's goons!" Raph raised his voice a bit, but I didn't care, I really didn't sense any danger from this new girl, I think she's one of the good guys. Raph calmed down and eventually gave up, "Fine Leo, do what you want, but I'm not letting my guard down." he said before walking away heading back home, Mikey on the other hand just shrugged his shoulders, "I don't know what to really say, but I do think she's one of the good guys like us." Mikey said before he also left, just leaving me and DaJah alone, "Please forgive everything that just happened, my brother is pretty protective when it comes to bringing strangers to our home." I explained, "Our father doesn't like when strangers find our home, which is hidden from the humans, we live in secret." She looked at me with a slight frown on her face, "Why do you guys live in secret?" she asked, she really didn't know, "humans are afraid of... monsters like us, expect April." I told her, she nodded, she looked pretty tired, she's had a rough day so I decided to show her the lair, knowing I'll have to deal with Splinter myself.

~Time Skip to the Lair~

Leo's pov

We made it to the lair and it seemed like everyone was in their rooms, but us, maybe sensei was awake, I'd have to check, "So this is my home, sorry it's not the best." I said with light chuckle, I turned to her and saw her eyes sparkle in amusement, I guess she's never seen a place like this before, "This place is so cool! I never seen a place like this." she said happily, "I want you meet our father/sensei, I really hope you two get to know each and maybe he'll let you stay here since you have no where to go." I said as I led her to the dojo, where Splinter happen to be meditating, I really hated to bother him while he meditated but, I had to. A fee minutes pass and I introduced DaJah to Splinter, at first he seemed not impressed that I brought a stranger home, but he soon got to know her more and liked her, I really hope he let's her stay her, heck maybe...live with us, I kinda like her, a lot even though we just met. An hour passes which felt like an eternity, sensei comes out with a smile on his face, "My son, you got lucky this time, I sense no danger from her, she is no threat to us." He told me, I smiled knowing I was right and Raph was wrong, I knew she was one of the good guys! "Thats great! Oh and um...can she?" I asked hoping she can stay, and yet I got my answer, Splinter nodded yes meaning she can stay with us, "Great news DaJah, you can stay with us!" I said with joy, she seemed pretty happy to now she had a home, "Thank you so much, I really appreciate this." she smiled, she was so happy she was on the edge of crying, "If you want you can sleep in my room, I mean we have an extra room but there's no bed and I wouldn't put a lady on the cold floor." I said being the gentleman that I am, "Oh why thank you, but only if thats okay with you" she said, "Thats fine with me, I like the floor anyway." I do sleep on the floor sometimes anyway so this is no problem for me. Splinter went off to bed and I led DaJah to my room so we could go to bed, once in the room I closed the door, I also noticed she still was fully dressed in her clothes, "Um, are you sleeping like that? Fully dressed I mean." I asked because I want her to be comfortable, she looked embarrassed when I asked her, "well yeah, when I got kicked out I was left with nothing but the clothes on my back." she told me, luckily I had a oversized shirt she could sleep in, if she wanted to that is, "Wanna sleep in this? I want you to be as comfortable as possible." I asked as I showed her my oversized Space Heroes shirt she can sleep in as a gown, she took it with delight, "sure, thanks." I turned around and watched the door so no would could see her change, which didn't take long, "Let me know when you're done." I said still looking at the door, "Im done, you can look now." I turned around and was not expecting her to look so adorable in an oversized shirt, I blushed, hoping she wouldn't notice, "You okay Leo?" she asked, she must have noticed me blushing, "Hm? Oh yeah I'm okay, I just never had a girl in my room before, this is a first for me." I said as I felt my cheeks turn hot, she giggled, which made my heart beat faster, she has the cutest laughter I ever heard, and I love it, "Don't worry, I won't be too much of a bother." she said kindly, "You're just fine, you're not bother." I kindly replied back, she yawned so I ended the conversation there and decided to let her rest, she got into my bed and I slept on the floor, which I didn't mind.
