Chapter 7: I'm the girl your mom warned you about
On our way home, the rest of his questions took a turn. A very interesting and unexpected turn. His questions, became philosophical, about personal beliefs and views on some great matters. Like where I stand on Marx' theory and on Designer Baby...I don't think it's the kind of questions you ask the first time, you're with someone. But somehow, they fueled the tiny flame of curiosity. Suddenly I wanted to know about what he thought of a certain book, or common belief or a tradition or even a colour. I wanted to know if it's the same as me? was he contradictory to what I said? It's refreshing to finally find someone, who is interested in you and what you think, than how much your dad makes a year.
"what do you think of love, Alyson?" see?
"I..think that love is a mentally-challenged blind w.hore. They say it drives you crazy, it's sadist and masochist at the same time, therefore mentally-challenged. It could be blind, 'you fall so deep in love' that you can't see your partner's flaws, they become the epitome of perfection, therefore blind. It's a bad trait, because what if they fall of the glorious high pedestal you set them up on, then that will crush you and hurt you like a bi.tch, therefore a Who.re. You ?"
"well, I think ... yeah I got nothing, you win."
"good, finally we agree on something."
"agree on what?" he asks confused.
"that I always win," I smirk and he smiles,
"God, how did you come up with that?" he wonders softly, after few seconds.
"you can go ahead and call me Alyson, calling me God makes me a little self-conscience.." I smirk,
"you're one of a kind Alyson. The way you answer, the way you convince people, so effortlessly, talking with such poise and finesse- so flawlessly, making yourself heard, loud and clear, making your point cut through any beliefs or principles people have.. who are you?"
We're now on the staircase of my dorm, it's like a big giant sorority house, more like a playboy mansion really...
"I'm the girl your mom warned you about." I drop my voice, to a seductive whisper, leaning next to his ear.
I lean back to where I was a second ago, and enjoy his reaction. His pupils were dilated, his breathing fast, and completely entranced. I walk away from him, leaving him hanging, and push the massive door open, after unlocking it, never glancing back at him. I hate when I go back.
I went straight to my room, ignoring the invitations to join some girls, and avoiding eye contact with Kat, I am not in the mood for a lesson, taught by yours truly. I open the door and shout "honey I'm home. Better put on some clothes, and check if you aren't indecently aroused."
"I'm in the living room, careful we're having an org.ie." Alexis shouts back
"Oh my god.. and you didn't invite me?" I fake being offended and she giggles. The fact that she joked like that, is a clear sign no one is here.
"how's your date with Noah?" She smiles,
"Oh please it wasn't a date, it was merely skipping school activities, for greater pleasure, you should try it sometimes... it's good for the soul." I advise, I take my heels off "how's your date with Walter?" I counter,
"we weren't on a date, we had lunch with everybody, plus he has been busy trying to get a peek inside Samantha Boyle's blouse the whole time.." she informs me, obviously pissed.
"oh," is all I say, honestly if she wanted him, she'd make a move but she never did, so.. you really can't blame the guy for trying to look where his little friend is going to spend the night in.. "What's the deal between you two anyways?"
