Giyuu didn't get back until way after the sun had set. He didn't think finding a demon inside a normal house would be that tough, especially with his senses. Defeating the demon was easy though, there were no big marks or scratches on his person. Exhausted, he wandered around for a bit, and decided to check on Tanjirou again, forgetting all about the night before.
He walked into the room, his eyes fixated on the bed first. It was dark, but some areas were lit from the moonlight. Although he couldn't tell, it was probably safe to assume that Tanjirou was sleeping. Giyuu didn't think anything was wrong, until his eyes wandered to the foot of the bed. It was a figure, just standing there. He attempted to make no noise as he stepped further in, to get a better look at the figure. The moonlight shone against the figure, illuminating it. It was Rengoku.
His hair was longer, way longer. And since the moonlight was only shining on Rengoku's right, all Giyuu could make out was the dark color of blood on Rengoku's forehead. And Giyuu, being absent minded, spoke out.
"Rengoku?" He whispered, nervous. In an instant, Rengoku's neck snapped to look at him, a very audible crack coming from his neck.
"Tomioka! How nice to see you!" He smiled, it was way ominous from the previous night, because he could actually see Rengoku this time around. "Do you mind shutting the door? The light is bothering my eyes."
His eyes. There was something extremely unnerving about the way he stared at Giyuu. As requested, he shut the door.
"You're not Rengoku. This has to be a vision, or something." Giyuu announced. It had to be true. Rengoku was confirmed to be dead, they had a funeral and everything. Rengoku seemed shocked.
"Well,It's me! And I've been doing great. But enough about me, How have you been doing?" He said, his smile growing a bit. Suspicious, Giyuu quickly flicked on the lights, and there was a shocked expression on Rengoku's face as he disappeared a moment after, and just as he thought, the Rengoku figure was gone in a blink of an eye. There was a small light after he left, like dragging an ongoing flame through a window, like he had ran away. 'Why am I having these visions? They have to be fake. Rengoku is dead, and he definitely wouldn't become a demon.' Giyuu said, shaking his thoughts away. He flicked off the light, and left the room, heading back to his own place of stay soon after.

Another couple of days went by without another incident like this, and there were no Rengoku "visions" to be seen. But that's only cause Rengoku was busy.
This night, it wasn't as late, it was just after the sun had set. Rengoku was sitting on the other side of the fence, thinking of what his plan was without Muzan knowing what he was doing, and how close he was to Tanjirou. He wanted to apologize for lying in front of him, but he wasn't exactly sure how. Rengoku sort of tuned out of whatever made him listen to Muzan in case he got any sudden orders, and carefully hopped over the fence, and decided to walk around before seeing anyone inside. But, unfortunately, Sanemi was going for a late night walk too.
He was upset 'cause all the missions he got that day sucked. It was nothing exciting, and there wasn't even a cool looking demon. But, that's when he sensed it. A demon, nearby. A powerful one. Excited, but skeptical, Sanemi gripped his sword and started chasing whatever it was. It seemed like a cat and mouse game, no matter how hard he looked there weren't any demons to be seen.
"Oh, come on out, you stupid demon!" He shouted, looking around, and there, to his left, was a demon standing there. But it wasn't at all what he expected. It was Rengoku..?
"Oh, so now you're taking forms of dead people, huh? What kind of blood technique is this supposed to be!?" Sanemi exclaimed, walking toward the figure, while the figure only slowly turned around. "Huh? Answer the question, you damn demon! Why are you inside the butterfly estate, too?!"
He froze when the demon had fully turned around. It wasn't a demon taking the form of Rengoku. It was demon Rengoku.
"What..the fuck?? No, this has to be a sick joke. You were confirmed dead. Tanjirou said you died in front of him." Sanemi growled, getting a better grip on his sword, and beginning to take his battle stance.
"Oh, Shinazugawa!" Rengoku said, smiling. "I can see why you'd think that. I never actually got to tell Giyuu the other night why I became a demon. But, to be completely honest, i didn't actually think i would last this long in a stupid form like this." Rengoku said, his voice getting softer throughout his sentences.
"Giyuu? What?! So you've been coming here regularly?"
"Not regularly, but-"
"For how long?!"
"Not too long, but-"
"Shut up!! I don't need your excuses. Leave, before I kill you myself." Sanemi demanded, standing back up, and leaving Rengoku shocked. He nodded, and walked over to the fence, hopping it while making no noise.
'I need to tell someone about this. Who, though? Think.. Oh, Giyuu! He mentioned Tomioka! I have to talk to that imbecile, though..' Sanemi's thoughts raced. He shook his head, then ran off to go find Giyuu.
Right after Sanemi took off, Aoi looked outside, because Sanemi was yelling right outside Tanjirou's closed window. Fortunately, she didn't hear much other than his yelling, but even then, it sounded like mumbling. She was changing Tanjirou's bandages.
"What was he yelling about?" Tanjirou asked, looking over at Aoi.
"Nothing. I swear, that wind pillar is crazy.." She grumbled, closing the window.
