Mia's POV

I got off the bus, smiled at Jack. We talked so much. We actually had more in common then I expected. "I don't think he knew who I was. A loser, a nobody. No one likes me. So why should he? Why should he have to talk to a burden like me? Why did he have such a cute smile? Why did I like him so much?" I stopped my thoughts. "What am I talking about, he's just a dumb jock!" I told myself reassuringly. I threw my backpack and tote bag on my floor in the corner. I threw myself onto my bed. "Well, was pretty cute wasn't he?" I thought again. I browsed the school website and last years yearbook for Jacks football pictures. Of course I knew him, Jack Longs, football captain of 2 years, grade 11. But everyone knows him. He doesn't know me, he didn't even catch my name. I don't know what's going to happen, but I hope it comes out for the better. But maybe I shouldn't talk to him. Maybe I'll try to get another detention, because God knows that's where he'll be!
