(Seven Years Later)
I walk out into our backyard and see our son and daughter running around. As I continue to walk out I wonder where he--Oh there he is. I laugh a bit while placing our waters down at the patio table. I wipe my hands on my jeans from the condensation, I then notice Leon grabbing our daughter and spinning around playfully. I smile and cross my arms, he looks up at me and places her down.
I watch him point to me, I then open my arms and give them both a hug. I then help my kids get onto the chairs. I carefully plant my daughter down as Leon does the same. I watch as they eat their sandwiches, I then cross my arms and look at them with delight. From the corner of my eye I watch as Leon walks into the kitchen.
(Y/N)- "Hey!" I catch up to him as he stops walking, "I know you have to leave tomorrow for another mission, and I just wanted to--"
(Leon)- "Just check in with me?" I nod and look down, I then feel his hand lift my chin up. "It's been a while since my last mission, I'm gonna be alright." He then gives me a light kiss.
(Y/N)- "This time, text me whenever you can. I mean it, 24/7, 365--" He cuts me off with another kiss.
(Leon)- "I will, I promise." I hug him and stare at our kids, "Is there blood really ok?"
(Y/N)- "Yes, they only have the healing factor. Everything else that I have, they didn't get it." He then grips me tighter, lightly kissing my forehead.
(Leon)- "After I return, wanna have another kid?" I rip away from him and turn around, placing both hands on my hips.
(Y/N)- "Oh sure, you're gonna give birth again right?" I watch him come to me, I quickly turn around and try to walk away, he then grabs my arm.
(Leon)- "No, but I help make them." He kisses me again but a bit longer, until we hear our kids yelling at us. "Really, oh wow look at the princess and prince!" I then watch Leon depart and play with them.
I lean against the patio door frame watching how my life has played out. I bite my thump nail watching him. I smirk knowing if I met him during our first mission, I would've never expected this. I then run over to them and start chasing them around, I then fall onto the grass and watch my daughter tackle me. I laugh and get up, I then watch her start to get tired, I look over and see the sunset. I get up and grab her.
(Y/N)- "Alright, time for bed you two." I then walk inside the house and go to their room, I lightly place her in her bed. I then look over and see Leon doing the same thing. "Wanna tuck them in?"
(Leon)- "Sure, I'll meet you in the living room." I walk out and go to our couch, I sit down and watch the clock tick slowly, hearing our children's room door close. I then hear Leon grab two glasses and fill them with wine.
He walks back to the couch and hands me a glass before sitting down. I take a sip while looking around, it's silent. I don't really get a quiet and peaceful house anymore, I chuckle and feel Leon's arm wrap around my torso. I rest my head on his shoulder hearing his peaceful heartbeat. As I take another sip of wine I hear Leon speak.
(Leon)- "I'm sorry for leaving so soon--" I sit up and look at him.
(Y/N)- "I'm kinda used to it by now, just saying. The kids will understand, I'll make sure of it. You're gonna be there for them, if you're even not here, I will be the one to tell them stories of how we met or how we almost died--" He laughs in his throat and cuts me off.
(Leon)- "Maybe we shouldn't tell them about how we almost died until they're eighteen. How we met is harder to explain. I mean you did fake your death so I.." I playfully slap his arm and he shrugs. "Well I'm not wrong."
(Y/N)- "No you're not. I just can't wait til' our daughter gets her first boyfriend." I laugh and look over to Leon, his face is serious.
(Leon)- "Not on my watch." I laugh and he smirks, I then lean up and kiss him. I back away and stare up at him. "I love you."
(Y/N)- "I love you too."
