ch. 12

It had been a week sense I heard I love you from thomas it felt so strange to hear it , but he already said he didn't want anything so I'm willing to be his friend. I mostly go to my racing course and the teacher thought my page assignment about creed was amazing so much he hung it up on the bulletin board in the class room.

As I walk into my class devon is sitting in our usual seats. As I sit down mr. Davis starts telling us about an up coming event."I'm only going to choose three of you to make my final selection for the race and you can win a good bit of money" he tells us "trials start tomorrow we also have a new stunt he is not here yet he should show tomorrow " he adds.

At the end of class I head towards creed to go to my dorm. "Hey kellie is it ok if I come over" devon asks "Sure I don't got anything planned " I tell him.when we get to the road I let creed have it the little drive that we have there is ended in mear minutes.

As we enter the room Christian is doing sit ups in the floor." Hey kellie you wanna go to the diner for dinner" he asks "he can join to" he adds I nod but telling him I need to change. I change into a red tank top and put on my black sweats. "I'm ready I tell him" we make the 20 minute drive to the diner and take are seats in a booth . When the waitress walks up to us she "what would yall like to drink" she asks we all reply sweet tea. As we give her our food orders I hear a familiar voice and when I see the face that matches it im speechless "why is he here" I say in a whisper when Christian and Devon come closer "who" they both say. When I look in his direction "That's colby the boy who raped me" I tell them.

"Well look who it is kellie hardin" he says I get up and tell Christian and Devon I forgot something in my car. When I walk out there I open the car door and grab my wallet when I hear footsteps . I pull back out from the door when I'm met face to face with colby pushing me up against creed. He has gotten stronger "I've been working out, did you think you was going to get away hitting me all those times I found out which college you was going to so I simply applied and now that my brother is out of the way I will hurt you" he says with an evil smile. "You brought mac back didn't you it was all a set up just to get your brother out of the way" I say to colby .

"You know you always thought you was better and stronger but your nothing kellie you wouldn't give me a second thought" he says his face an inch away from mine and slamming his hand down on creed. "It's one to push me around but hitting my car is another thing " I say pushing him back. "Just cause you got a few muscles doesn't make you intimidating " I tell him as I start to walk back to the diner I feel him grab my wrist and my instincts kick in when my fist connects with his nose making it bleed. "Looks like you can handle my punches now" I tell him with a smile

As I walk back in the diner devon and Christian both look at me shocked."what" I say as I sit down next to Christian "Damn I thought Christian was kidding about you being able to punch" he says chuckling. "I've taken on guys bigger than him" I tell them . "There was this one time when I was six I was on the playground at school when a big kid thought they could pull my pig tales. Let's just say he had it alot worse than colby just did" I say laughing.

"So who do you think is gonna be a challengeto us with the race" I ask devon. "Well I know your gonna be a challenge for me" he says "dude that didn't sound right" Christian add and Devon cheeks turn red. If Christian only knew what devon had done to me.

As we leave the diner we get held up at a stop light when I hear an engine rev . As I look over past devon the window rolls down and it colby "care for a race Kell " he says "Sure but only friends can call me that" I say. "Buckle up butter cups this is gonna be fun" I tell them.

As we Rev our engines I feel amazing. The light turns green and I spin off straight for home . When I get around the first corner I'm met with something I never thought I would meet. "Oh shit a cop" devon yells.

As I pass him his lights turn on "which one of you are more familiar with is place" I say pushing creed to her limit to get away."I am " Devon says "well tell me which way to go" I tell him. "Turn right up here" he says . As I get to it I pull the e-break up. "Alright now take a left up here and cut everything off" he says. As I pull in I do as he says and the cop goes by behind us. We crouch down in case he sees our head.

We wait about 5 minutes until we think its safe then we left for the dorms. When we get there we all step out "can you walk with me to my dorm ill feel safer" Devon says laughing.

As we walk along to his dorm its quiet really quiet. "That was fun tonight" Devon says breaking the silence "yea it was even when we got chased by the cop" I say laughing when I trip over my own feet. Devon catches me "I got you" he says "thank you for catching me I reply looking into his brown eyes. When he leans in and kisses me just like Thomas it feels like I've known him forever. "Devon your not the good boy you play out to be are you" I say. "No I've been in more trouble than anyone I've ever known" he says "the only reason I act like this is because if I get in trouble any more I can be sent off" he adds.

"Ill see you in class" I tell him and he kisses me once more this time more passionately and I can feel it the bad boy in him..
