After Little My's comment on Moomin's gift, Moomin got very flustered and Little My got another telling off from Moominmama. Snufkin chuckled and went to unpack completely. He rummaged through a few things in his backpack before Moomin chimed in.

"Can I help?" Moomin asked

"No." Snufkin replied

"Why not?"

"There are some fragile things in here"

"Oh, I see" Moomin sat there for a few moments while Snufkin carried on looking through his bag.

"Where is it?!"

"What are you looking for?" Moomin asked

"My mouth organ! It's gone!" Moomin turned his head to the ground incase it had fallen out of his pocket. Moomin saw it a few feet away from him.

"There it is!" Moomintroll pointed out. Snufkin went to grab it but a crow swooped in, grabbed it, and flew off before Snufkin could get to it.

"No! We need to get that back!"

"How? It's flying away!" Moomin asked panicking.

"Well, let's go on an adventure." Snufkin put on his backpack and ran off into the forest with Moomin right behind him.
The crow flew over the lonely mountains and got out of sight. Moomin was very tired at this point and thought it to be best if they went back home but to Moomintroll's surprise, Snufkin started to scale the mountains! He stopped suddenly and looked Moomin "Come on! If we're fast enough we can get it back!"

"What? One, We can't climb that thing in time! Two, we can just go home and get you a new one!"

"You don't understand.." is all Snufkin replied with. Moomin saw pain tug at Snufkins heart. "But you're right. We will never be able to cross the mountains in time."

"We won't be able to cross them, but we'll be able to go through them!" Snufkin was confused about Moomintroll's statement but carried on listening. "I know a cave system that will be able to lead us straight through to the other side of these mountains! Follow me!" Moomin lead Snufkin to a cave opening, it was dark... Very dark..

"Moomintroll, how did you find this cave? I never thought of you as the adventurous type."

"I didn't find it, my papa did! He told me stories of it and that if I ever needed to get past the mountains in a hurry, this was the place to go."

"Why don't you go this way all the time?" Snufkin asked curiously.

"Well," Moomin lifted up a stone by the side of the mouth of the cave, it showed three torches, some flint, and some steel. "My papa left torches at both ends of the cave so that we could see inside of the cave and you can only use them once, so he told me to only go though here on emergencies." Snufkin was impressed! Really impressed! He had never seen Moomin like this before! So confident!

"Well, what are we waiting for? Let's go!" Moomin lit the torch and headed off into the cave.
