chapter 7

Not a second later my sister bursted into my room. "Who were you talking to?" she asked, jumping on my bed. I rolled my eyes at her "That's none of your business"
"I'm gonna tell mom if you don't tell me"
I sat up in bed and held her in place "I talked to a friend. Happy now?"
She nodded and I let her go.

"So? How are you feeling?" my mom asked as we were eating breakfast together. "Mhm, I think I'm fine.. well definitely better than before" I said, taking a sip of my coffee.

"I'm also going out tonight" I quickly added, somehow hoping that my mom wouldn't hear me.
"Going out? With who?" she asked.
"Uh a friend, you know?" "Which friend?"
"A new friend, I met her at the hospital" I said, taking another bite from my toast.

"Ah I see. What's her name?"
That question made me freeze. I looked at my mom and just smiled. "What is it Y/N? Don't you wanna tell me your friend's name?"
"Exactly Y/N, why don't y-" my sister started before I cut her off "You better shut your mouth"
"Y/N!!" mom yelled into my direction. "Sorry" I let out an almost inaudible giggle. "What was that?" she then asked and I just shook my head "It's nothing"

I stood up and was ready to leave the room but stopped and turned around to face my mom and my sister.

"Her name is Sarah by the way"

I made my way up to my room to relax some more so I won't look like a dead rat when I'm meeting Sarah.

It must've been some time because when I woke up it was pitch black and my phone was ringing. A loud groan escaped my body as I picked up the phone and held it closely to my ear.

"Yeah?" I asked in a sleepy voice.
"Hey, it's Sarah. I just wanted to ask if 9.30 is fine for you"
I looked over to my nightstand and saw that it was already 8.45 at which I let out a gasp.
"Everything okay?" Sarah asked with a slight giggle.
"Uh uhm yeah, I just...slept until now but yeah, yeah 9.30 is fine"
"Okay" it sounded like Sarah was smiling at the other side of the line "Want me to pick you up then?"
"Sure" I said and finally got out of bed.
"Great, I'll see you then?"
I smiled widely at my reflection in the mirror and nodded to myself. "Yeah...yeah I'll see you then.
