" Maybe it was always more than a friend..."
------------------------------------------
It was her birthday today, and instead of feeling happy. She felt longing for something. No it was rather for someone.

Ah she missed him.

It was her 22th birthday today. It was true when they say that after your 20th you would not wish for aging.

Everyone on their family was here, even their relatives as same as her sister's and her closest cousin.

Amia.

" Happy Birthday." That was all they could say for their attention was on the lady they were all waiting. But she was only looking for him.

Oh how she wish for this day to end.

She never find anything amusing to it.

But she spent the entire day at her home.

And finally it was already the next day.

" Here" he said.

And she saw a long black box, he opened it.

It was a gold necklace.

She felt something cold in her neck as she looked at the necklace in her neck.

" Happy Birthday." He said.

And it was the one she was longing for.

Silence.

And something came up. She only realized she never knew his name.

" I have a question."

" What?" He asked

" What is your name?" Looking at him. But he never said any.

" You still haven't tell me yours." He said looking at me.

" I will, but tell me yours first." She said as his gaze captured her.

" So when will you tell me?" She added.

She wanted to know. She had always addressed her as guy. But not a name.

" The day.... I will left." He answered as he looked away form her.

She was strucked by the truth. But she pretended to be okay.

Feigning a smile.

She should not have asked that. She would rather not want his name if that only meant that he would be gone.

And they stood in silence.

" Let's go?" He asked.

All she could do was nod.

" I have a question." He told her as they both walked towards the exit.

" It's Sunday tommorow. Do you want to go on a church?" He asked.

" Of course." She was happy.

And then she asked,

" Is it a date?"

" It is." He said.

And she blushed as their hands brushed and for the first time, his hands were soft and they were gentle, she felt her cheeks burning and she thanked that he didn't see her and from that day they held each other's hand much more than a friend.
