marco shouts "CLIFF AHEAD" larry says "THERES ONLY ONE WAY OUT AND THATS IT IF WE COULD MAKE THE JUMP AND GET CLOSE ENOUGH TO A BOAT WERE HOME FREE"marco looks at him "ARE YOU FUCKING CRAZY ?!" larry runs faster and looks back at marco "GET READY TO JUMP" marco speeds up "were really doing this were really-" marco screams as he jumps and larry is laughing as he jumps and lands in the water below.
larry and marco come up for air and look at each other and start to cheer, larry smiles and swims to the boat and pulls up marco "that was fucking crazy" larry says "yeah man now lets get this shit going get far away from this hell hole" they sail off and began the journey home
the next day comes around
marco and larry are fishing for food
marco:hey uh i been meaning to ask how old are you?
larry:im 23 went to jail for robbery....we were having hard times. couldnt pay the rent couldnt even feed our self, i had to do something
marco:yeah man i understand
larry:my amazing wife carrying my baby..ill be damned if she goes hungry, i would of gave her the world...but she did deserve better.
marco:you did your best. just think about that
larry:your right i did but that didnt stop her from leaveing me for some rich guy
marco:damn bro
larry:what about you?
marco:oh me uh...i robbed a bank with a well known gang..i thought money would solve all of my problems but i was wrong...i thought i could fix my life
larry:oh?..
marco:i was fucked...i had a son who i needed to care for , a sick mother and a girlfriend who abused our son every chance she got, all i wanted was to fix things but i didnt i just made things worse. i got the money killed people in cold blood. all for what? money? i regert what i did and it all ended with me being locked in a cage with the thing i wanted most...money
larry and marco share stories of the past and laugh and smile, they cook up the fish they caught and began to eat. everything seems normal.
night time falls larry is on the deck looking out at the water and the bright moon, he tears up and reachs out to the moon.."so bright like her eyes, so cold like her heart yet it gives me such warmth, god i can hear her laughing with joy in the wind...jessica...god what am i doing?" larry drops to his knees and looks at the moon and smiles "this must be pay back for my sins" larry puts down his head and reachs for a star" so close but so far, ill find you no matter what it takes.
