Andy has been living in this cell for so long he's stopped counting the days. The marks on the wall say its been at least five years, but he suspects its been much longer. He wakes every day to the same routine, staring at the lonely walls, eating what they call 'breakfast', and hoping for the luxury of seeing the other kids.
