Eyville was a village of merchants and hunters. No one who could not fight would live there, that may have been because of the many goblins around the town. Someone needed to keep them in check and the many hunters living in that town made sure of that.

Anna halted in her ride through the forest when she encountered fallen trees. The trees were restricting any passing. If Anna wanted to take this road she will have to walk on foot. But she could not leave lightening alone here. She needed him and the many supplies she had brought from home and from the many shops she had encountered on the way. She needed them if she was going to fulfill her quest.

Annalise roamed around the forest, trying to find a different way through all the while looking at the map she had stolen from the town center days before her start of the journey. Anna's honey brown eyes found the small passageway that would lead her near the small river of Eyville. Except that passageway is filled with goblins looking to prey on innocent humans.

Anna started her journey through the dark route. Lightening grew uneasy and Anna wasn't surprise. Anna was growing afraid too. This feeling was creepy up her spine, letting her know danger was near. A crow flew over the top of Anna's head and she let out a small squeak.

The eerie forest was surrounded with darkness and the first drop of water landing on Anna's nose let her know rain was coming. The wind slowed down in its speed as rain came down.

Anna wanted to go back home to her cottage. She did not want to be here anymore. Her leather pants and vest stuck to her skin in wet heaps as the rain beat down on them. Anna had grown accustomed to damp clothes sticking to her skin like dirt from the frequent rainfalls. Anna wanted to stop and rest her eyes for a couple of minutes in this grueling journey but knew she could not. Especially not now.

Annalise whipped her head around when a multiple grunts. Well, talk about a wake up call. Anna slowed Lightening to a stop and left him standing in the middle as she approached an opening to the right where the voices were the loudest.

Anna found three goblins surrounding a roaring fire, with a boy her age tied to a tree. The fire illuminated the goblins yellowish-green skin and the scarce leather covering various parts of their body.

Her eyes trailed over the boy before they came to the conclusion that the boy looked too much trouble. If she was not on this pivotal quest, she would've stopped to save him but she did not have time if she wanted to defeat the witch before winter. She was already late, as is.

Anna turned to leave the small opening when her feet came in contact with a tree branch covered by many leaves. The leaves may not be of autumn, but they did not hesitate to make noise with the branch. That was the first mistake Anna made.

The second was staying long enough to see if the goblins had heard her. Oh boy, did they hear. They turned their heads towards Anna's direction and sucked in a large breath through their pointed noses.

The third mistake Anna made was stepping on a rock. The slippery rock pushed Anna to the ground and a grunt left her.

Anna sucked in a painful breath and clenched her eyes shut as the many rocks, pebbles, and branches jabbed her in several places. Opening her eyes showed her the new trouble she had attracted.

The goblins surrounded her with angry eyes and flaring noses. Their weapons ranged from a Warhammer, a battle-axe, a mace, and a halberd. One of the goblins brought down his battle-axe and Anna rolled out of his way, narrowly avoiding certain death.

Anna ran towards the clearing and near the fire. Her hands hold the very familiar bow and arrow and shoot multiple arrows at the goblins. Two hit one of the goblins while the other catches the arrows and breaks them in half.
