Chapter 14:The Forbidden Forest

I walk into the forest and hear Draco's footsteps behind me. Soon he catches up to me and is at my right side. "What do we need to get?" I ask him. "Why were you late and in pain?" he asks as soon as I finish my question. There's no avoiding it. If I change the subject he'll steer it right back. I know it. I sigh and turn to him. Only to get lost in his storm grey eyes. I stare for what feels like an eternity. You're staring. Right. Thanks? I guess. You're welcome. "Um. Well I had another detention before this one and when I finally got out of it I had to run because if I walked I would have been late" I said scratching the back of my neck as we walked deeper and deeper into the forest. "You could have been late, you're one of Hagrid's favorites, I don't think he would have told you off" he responds. "You are right, but I don't like getting special treatment" I say. We knock aside branches and step over tree roots in silence. "You know. I spent most of my life idolizing you. When I was a kid all the people would talk about in my house was you. And when I came to Hogwarts you were there and all I could think was, his eyes really are like emeralds and would he like me?" Draco starts to say with a chuckle "I know on the train in our first year I came off as rude and after that I thought, how could I screw up something as simple as an introduction? And then my friends basically manipulated me into being rude to you. But that didn't stop me, you always were so cool, doing all these dangerous things and going on all those adventures." My face heats up even more and I can't seem to speak. "I- uh- er- eh- erm" I sputter uselessly and turn to stare at him with wide eyes and my mouth wide. He turns to look at me and sees my helpless expression and chuckles lightly. An actual heartfelt chuckle. "And then when I finally got the chance to get to know you, your personality, everything. I found out what I missed out on" Draco continues. I sputter even more and turn to look at him again. I probably looked like a gaping fish. "I- uh- er- erm-" I try again . I shake my head and just stare at the ground while walking. "Thanks" I finally manage to say and look up to see him looking at me. He smiles at me and I smile back. I keep staring ntil my foot gets caught in a tree root and I'm sent tumbling into a bush I didn't notice, I stick my hands out to try and catch myself but I go through the bush and to roll to the side. Except the rolling didn't stop. I kept rolling down the side and into a small crater in the forest. I groan and close my eyes as I lay flat on my back at the bottom. My hands and face are scratched from the bush and my clothes are covered in dirt. "Harry!!" I hear Draco call from the edge of the crater and I open my eyes. I groan in response. The sides are at least 9 feet tall. And I just rolled down it in all its glory. I see his face pop up over the bush and he holds up his lantern and he spots me. He clambers through the bush and slides down the edge gracefully. I chuckle. He's the graceful one and I'm the clumsy one. He runs to my side and I sit up. He sets down his lantern and looks at my face. "Oh Harry" he says as he cups my face with one of his hands. I feel my face heat up and just turn away and stand up. "I'm fine" I say "Just shocked." I reach my hand out and he takes it and pulls himself up. I pick up the lantern, hand it to him, and look around. Good luck. What do you mean? You'll see, I can see multiple futures, can't wait to see which one plays out. Wait!! Tell me!! No response. Typical. I wipe my face with my sleeve to make it cleaner and so the cuts don't sting as much. I hear a hiss and me and Draco turn around. We're met with a creature that has a snake build but it's really thick and tall and has many different colored scales and sinister red eyes. It's tongue is like a snake's and it hisses as it approaches us.

A/N hullo. A nice long chapter with a cliff hanger. Noice. Starting to get ideas. Also changed the name, I felt like it was to long so yeah. Ok that's all for now. Bye!!
