Kim Minkyu
All after school activities were coming to a close. In particular the Student Council meeting had already ended a few minutes early. Only the presidents were still there.
Donghyun and Tony were organizing posters that were just made for the upcoming school dance.
"I'd say that went well," Minkyu comments, "Everything is coming together nicely. But there's still a lot of work to be done. So I think Tony will be best to head the decorating committee."
Wonjin, who had previously been half paying attention from his spot sitting on top of a table, instantly sat up once the president's words sunk in his mind. "Why not me?" He asked incredulously. His questioning gaze expressing his disconcerted mood change.
Minkyu was too focused on his notepad to look up at the boy. Instead he kind of shrugged his shoulders. "You'll be busy."
"With what?"
"The school musical." Minkyu couldn't help it, a smile took over his face and he looked up at the bewildered boy.
Wonjin slid off the table to approach his friend. "What are you talking about?"
Tony smiled knowingly. This has been the plan for a while but now it was coming into fruition.
"The school musical. I signed you up." Minkyu simply says.
"Why would you do that?"
Minkyu smiled up at his friend. "Because I know it's something you've always wanted to do. And it's your Senior year. Might as well take advantage of the opportunity."
Wonjin began grinning. "I don't know what to say," he beamed, at a loss for words.
"A 'thank you' would be great."
"Thank you, but what about everything here?" Wonjin loved the idea of acting but he knew his responsibilities of being a part of the student council. There was no way he would be able to enjoy the musical at all if the council was in trouble.
Tony strode up to the older boy, tossing his arm over his shoulder. "Don't worry, we'll have it all under control. I'll do my best. Scout's honor." His smile brought the others to an elated state.
"Please, like you were ever a Boy Scout," Wonjin tosses his arm off.
"I was to."
The three fell into a small fit of laughter. Donghyun still organizing. He'd been quiet the entire meeting and the others didn't want to mention it because they knew he was going through a tough time.
"Hey, Donghyun," Minkyu voiced out to the boy, "are you doing alright?" The boy typically was serious and focused but this was much even for him.
Donghyun sighed knowing all eyes were on him. "Yeah, can we go home now?" His monotone voice reaches the others.
Minkyu stood up. "Sure, let's all go together."
The four boys collected all their things and left the school building. They talked about various items that had to do with the planning of the school dance.
Donghyun stopped suddenly when he saw a tall blonde boy talking to Yujin. He had never been one to overdramatize a situation but it legitimately felt like his heart stopped for a moment.
"Who's that?" Donghyun asked quietly.
The others turned to look at him then at where his gaze was headed. Tony audibly groaned in disdain. "Kang Minhee, he's in my grade."
The younger boy couldn't tear his eyes away from the couple.
"Why's he talking to her?"
"Who knows, let's go," Wonjin tried to get everyone moving. This wasn't good for Donghyun. But Tony had other plans.
"It's probably for his stupid club. Him and his friends think that they can fix girls or something. Honestly, I just think it's an excuse for them to get with girls." Tony didn't hold back and staring at the couple only made him more upset. "They used to date in middle school, you know."
"I didn't know," Donghyun mumbles. He frowned at the sight of the two.
"Well, they did and then Minhee over there ditched her the second he got to high school."
Minkyu sensing that the situation was escalating, quickly stepped in. "Let's just go. We still have a lot to talk about." He ushered Tony and Donghyun along.
"Tony, what were you saying about that club?"
