Weeks passed and their shifts became longer. Since Christmas was moving closer and closer, they were pressed to work more and harder every single day. The only thing that was different from the years before was that for once in his life, Yoongi was having fun. He was actually enjoying helping Jungkook since, after his talk with Taehyung, he changed a lot. He was kind and nice and tried to make the older feel more comfortable around him, forgetting about his jealousy and inability to perform magic. Yoongi knew that this wasn't for him though. He was just trying to make a bond in order to ask about Taehyung, and every time he tried to make it sound casual, the blonde had to work hard to hide his grin. The only thing that bothered him was that other than he hoped, he hadn't seen Jimin again. Well, other than in his day- and nightdreams which may sound cheesy, but Yoongi did think a lot during day and night which lead to many imaginary situations. He had hoped so bad that the other would visit him again, but there was no sign of him. He would reach out to Jimin if he could, but the problem with that was that he had no idea where the golden-haired would be.

He was on his way to Taehyung at the stables when a small, gentle had grabbed his arm from around a corner and pulled him into another hallway. A startled: "Huh." escaped his mouth and he freed himself from the grip.
"Relax, it's just me.", a bright and chuckling voice sounded right in his ear and Yoongi flinched, confronted with his confusing physical reaction to whatever came from Jimin.
"Don't surprise me like that!", he muffled and hid his face so that he couldn't see him blush.
"Sorry, but I wanted to show you something!"
When Yoongi looked up, he saw a bright smile on the other's face that almost made his eyes disappear. He wasn't sure, but strangely it seemed like a warm light was spreading into the room from within the fairy's body. He knew that physically, this was impossible, but why did it feel so much like it?
"Okay, what is it then?", he asked after a while of enjoying the mood.
"Come with me!"
And with that, he started walking towards the restricted area of the factory that Yoongi had never visited before.
"Are you sure that's-"
"Come on, don't be like that. I've done this so many times already, Jin-hyung gave me access."
Yoongi furrowed his eyebrows at the honorifics. Jimin was so comfortable with calling him that, why didn't he have that kind of confidence? Well, whatever, he didn't want to keep wasting energy on these thoughts, especially not now that he was with Jimin again. They were almost running down the hall until they arrived at a dark and very old, heavy door. Yoongi had never seen it before, but it had some kind of attraction to him which was why he didn't hesitate to follow the younger this time. When they entered the room behind it together, they were met with a scent of old parchment and leather. The first thing that they could see was an enormous shelf filled with books and cards, stacked until right underneath the ceiling. It went around all three walls of the room, no windows were there to lighten it up, but still, there was no darkness or uncomfortable narrowness that was caused by this.
"Do you like it?", Jimin asked after a while of silence and nothing else but looking around, taking in the atmosphere of the library.
"Yes, I think so. I... It's amazing, but what is it?", Yoongi almost whispered while spinning around to take another look at the walls.
"Beautiful, don't you think? I often come here to think even though I haven't even started reading all that."
Yoongi chuckled at the comment and started walking further into the room, his chin lifted high so he could see the ceiling and the ancient art that covered it all over. When he went a couple more steps, suddenly a strange sound filled the walls and he turned to his right, where it seemed to come from. There, Jimin was pulling a lever that stood out of the wooden pillar in the very that secured the architecture. The older tilted his head, curious about what would happen, a slight pout on his face, as always when he couldn't figure something out right away.

"This is what I wanted to show you.", Jimin almost whispered when he was by the other's side, turning to see what he was looking at. Around the pillar that the lever was fixed to, a blue light began to spread. It was like out of thin air, some kind of dust built up and gathered around the room's central point. Jimin watched the blonde's reaction carefully, amused by his excitement and confusion. He himself had seen it a hundred times already, so it wasn't really a big deal, but the first time had been just as fascinating as watching Yoongi see it now. Jimin paid attention to every single muscle that moved in the other's face, examining how the corners of his mouth slowly moved up, his already small eyes narrowed a little more and his nostrils fluttered gently. He could swear that if he took away all the light now, Yoongi would still shine bright enough for them to see.
"What is this?", the older asked after a while and Jimin cleared his throat, trying to cover up how he'd been staring at the other.
"Look closer!", he suggested and waited for him to speak up again by himself. It took a while until it was clear, but eventually, Yoongi realized what was building up before him. When everything was still again, Jimin took a step towards the blue dust and pointed at one of the silver lights that shone from it. The entire structure – which formed a globe of the entire earth – was dotted with silver lights, sometimes more, sometimes less in one area. Only the oceans were completely left out except for the islands of course.
"Every light shows a child. A child waiting for Christmas. A child excited for this year's presents and the opportunity to meet Santa Claus.", he explained and waited for Yoongi to react. He didn't. Well, technically, he did, but he didn't say anything. Not that he needed to, of course, Jimin noticed immediately how his smile fell and his eyes wandered off like he was deep in thoughts and mourning about something. Jimin frowned.
"Are you okay?", he asked after another minute of silence, and Yoongi looked up at him and swallowed. Then, a forced smile made its way on his lips and he nodded.
"Yes! Yes sure, it's very pretty.", he said and then let his gaze wander off to the globe again.
"You don't have to lie to me.", was all Jimin responded to that and let the other think the rest. There was no need to push him, Yoongi was a grown-up person and if he wouldn't tell him then Jimin couldn't change that. He'd never been a fan of being too clingy and people invading his personal space so he'd made a promise to himself not to push others to open up to him.

"Thanks for showing me this place.", the elf broke the slightly uncomfortable silence after a while and turned to Jimin with a genuine smile this time. He shrugged.
"As I said, I like it here so I thought why not share with someone I know.", he answered absently.
"Why me though?", Yoongi asked and made Jimin pay more attention at once.
"Why not?"
"I'm just me.... Why not show to one of your friends?"
He chuckled and ran his hand through his slightly curled hair. This elf wasn't only interesting, he was cute, too.
"I thought you were my friend.", he said with a cheeky smirk, but Yoongi saw through him and lifted his eyebrows.
"So, are you saying you don't have any other friends?", he asked, but it was more of a statement, which is why Jimin only sighed and started walking towards the door. He felt awkward just standing there, talking without properly looking at each other. Without question, the older followed him and so they started walking around the halls while talking.
"It sounds sad when you say it like that. And actually, I would call Hoseok-ssi my friend. I'm close with Namjoon-hyung and Seokjin-hyung, but saying we were friends would be over the top.", Jimin finally answered after a while and Yoongi bit his bottom lip.
"Yes, that's a little weird, you're right. But it's nice that you know him, he's a good person."
They dwelled in thoughts for a while, probably both trying to figure out with whom Seokjin wasn't friends and coming to the conclusion that it wasn't possible since he literally was Santa Claus. Then, however, they went on talking about other topics until deep in the night which was when they decided to return to Yoongi's room.
"This was fun, we should totally do it again!", Jimin said once they were back at the door and the slightly taller agreed.
"You know where to find me. Goodnight!"
And when the door closed behind him, all he heard was a small ringing sound. No footsteps leaving, no breathing, no sigh. It was like Jimin was gone without ever existing, just an image in Yoongi's mind. He really hoped that wasn't the case.
