Shopping was a breeze, they just got a few things for the week's meals. ( Kyo gagged when he heard that they were having leek soup Friday. ) Walking out, Tohru looked to make sure no cars were in the road and walked in the middle of the road. Turning around and looking back at Kyo, she smiled and laughed. Bags upon bags of groceries were strapped along her arms.
"Hey, Tohru, don't wait for me and stand in the middle of the road like that..." The redhead worried, trying to catch up to her. She had quickly gotten ahead of since he had a restroom break. Staying there, she looked to the sky and and closed her eyes and took a deep breath. A peaceful look on her face. "Okay, Kyo.. let's head home, then~" "Yeah, I can't wait til you make the ri-"
BANG!! SCRREEECCHH!!
The sound of a car hitting something hard, breaking, then pulling away was heard. Kyo's eyes widened and watered. "TOHRU!!"
He quickly rushed to her side, she was bleeding. Badly. Quickly, he got his cellphone out and dialed '911'. Tohru's eyes weren't opening. All that was on her face was a peaceful expression and some scratches.
Soon, he began speaking into the phone. "Hello?!.. My friend got hit by a car!! It was a hit-and-run!!... She's badly hurt! We're right outside the grocery store... The deli!!.. Her name is Tohru Honda, my name is Kyo Sohma.. Yes, yes... If you could, please!! Now HURRY UP AND GET HERE!!!" He then hung up and collapsed beside Tohru.
Soon enough, rain started to pour, there had been clouds earlier. He clenched his fists. "Damnit, Tohru!!" Loosening his fists, he carefully checked her pulse. There was a light one. "Stay with me Tohru, okay?!" Sirens were then faintly heard through the rain, and he looked up as they stopped by them.
"Please! Save her!!" Kyo screamed before they brought Tohru into the ambulance on a stretcher. He climbed in with them and sat on a seat.
'Please... Please be okay.'
