Piper helped Chaya pack her bags. Today was the big day. The two chosen ones would set out on their quest to the Underworld.

They were going to talk to Hades about their quest since the Prophecy talked about Jacob. Hopefully the god of the dead had the answer to their predicament of not knowing how to resurrect the son of Pan.

"You're going to be fine." Piper reassured. Chaya took a deep breath in and zipped up her backpack. She slung it over her shoulder and turned to face her friend.

"Thanks Piper. Just hope that Hades is in a good mood today." Chaya laughed. Piper smiled. They hugged and Chaya left.

She met up with her "partner in crime"-or so they called one another- at the Big House. They nodded respectfully at each other and waited for Chiron to give the okay signal.

He came out in his centaur form. He bid his adieu as they walked towards the entrance of the camp. Before they could exit the camp, Jason, Annabeth, Percy, Leo, and Piper came up to say their goodbyes.

"Goodbye everyone!" Chaya said to them. Matthew gave Jason the biggest hug of them all.

"I need to tell you something." Leo pulled her aside from the group and behind a far away tree. Before she could react, he kissed her. A heavy blush spread across her cheeks. She noticed it on Leo's too. Her eyes widened, but eventually she melted into the kiss.

He smelled of freshly cut wood and a hint of oil. His breath tasted of chocolate. He must've stolen some chocolate cupcakes from the Big House earlier.

They pulled apart for air and kissed again. She could feel his grin against her lips. After all, this kiss lasted longer than a few seconds. Leo pushed her against the tree and put his arms on each side of her waist. She grabbed at his curly hair and pulled him closer to her.

Then she remembered that this was not Jacob and she should not be doing this with Leo. She pushed him away from her and rested her head against the tree. He looked at her in confusion, his elfish grin wiped off his face.

"I shouldn't have kissed you, Leo. I belong with Jacob. I'm sorry." Chaya said, tears forming in her eyes. Leo's face fell. In sympathy, she hugged him gently. He reluctantly hugged back.

"Technically that wasn't a kiss Chaya." He whispered in her ear. His breath ran down her neck, reminding her of three days ago when her mysterious attacker came to her. He began to giggle. "That was a short make-out session."

She laughed at his silly attempt to make her believe he was fine with her answer. Chaya knew that he was heartbroken and needed some love. She pulled him into arm length and looked dead into his brown eyes.

"Leo Valdez, I know that you are really heartbroken. Not just by me, but by others. I will come back and get you a girlfriend." Leo laughed.

"I'm serious Leo." She said, trying to keep a straight face. His laugh and grin were very contagious. Leo raised an eyebrow.

"Chaya! Let's go!" Matthew called from a distance. Chaya sighed and kissed Leo lightly on the cheek.

"I promise you won't be lonely when I return." Chaya said, touching her necklace. Whenever she promised something, she kept it safe in her amethyst necklace.

While running back to her group, she turned around she noticed Leo touching his cheek and blushing massively. He looked after her longingly. She couldn't bear to see his face anymore, so she turned around and didn't look back again.

When she waved everyone goodbye and began her quest with Matthew, he looked her in the eyes. They were far from the camp at that point, so he stopped her.
