Tonys pov
Me and Clint watch as the kid hangs up the phone. He just stared at the wall, silent tears falling down his face.
"Petya, are you ok?" Clint carefully asked. We're both worried of upsetting the kid more.
"Mom wants to talk with you Mr Stark. We shouldn't keep her waiting." He blankly said, only a hint of sadness in his voice.
"Petya, you're crying. I think it's better for you not to go talk with Nat right now." Clints voice even more careful. Peter tried to stand up and I grabbed his arm.
"I can talk with her, but you need to go with Clint. Everything going to be fine." I reassured.
"No I hung up on her, I've got to apologize. I don't want her to leave again." What dose he mean leave again?
"Nat isn't going to leave again. Petya, She won't ever leave again. Let's go vist May or Laura." Ok I'm beyond confused now, but I have to comfort the kid.
"No. No. No. Mama can't leave again. I've gotta apologise." He sounds like a scared little kid, it brakes my heart to watch.
"Petya, Tasha isn't going to leave. Ever, ever again. Calm down. Let's go to the tower, you can work on your suit." The kid nods sadly and they both stand up to leave.
"Take a nap during the drive, I know you didn't sleep last night." We start walking out to Clints car since I flew here.
We all get in the car, Peter in the back already fast asleep and Clint and I up front. I'm still very confused about everything that just happened.
"What did he mean leave again? I've never seen him that scared." I asked.
"Because of the war Nat and I were fugitives. And because of that we couldn't vist him," he paused "It was a whole year before we were able to vist him again. It really hurt him, and he's terrified of Nat leaving again." Clint sighed.
The kid didn't get to see him mom and uncle for a whole year and I made him fight against them.
"Though he unknowingly had his father for that year. But he went through a lot and we weren't there for him." Clint finished.
"Right so, why didn't Tasha say anything? I mean I know I was a drunk play boy in the past but like the kid said I'm very different now." Clint and her are thick as thieves, he's gotta know something.
"She doesn't want him to get kidnapped or taken, the less people who know the better. Plus you don't have the reputation of keeping secrets." Clint told, I guess that makes sense but Peter- er Petya couldn't know himself?
"Why didn't Petya know? He seemed most upset about not knowing himself." I questioned.
"Nat says Petya has had a great and happy life without knowing and Petya has always looked up to you, she didn't think he could keep the secret." Clint explained.
We sat in silence for the rest of the drive and eventually we were outside the compound.
"Clint, weren't we supposed to take him to the tower first?" I asked.
"Imma put him in a guest room here, I called Steve and Wanda to help get him there. I wasn't going to leave Petya in a lab when he's dead tired and emotional." Clint laughed, I've left him in the lab dozens of times. Gosh I don't know how to be a father.
"Well time to face your baby mama, oh and you've got a fiancee to tell. So Petya already has a step mother. This is going to be fun to watch." A familiar female voice says. Ah Wanda and Steve are beside the car now. Lucky us.
