"I haven't had to punish him since he was 4, feels weird." Petya has already bolted inside.
"I've had to ground him from the lab a few times when he isn't sleeping enough or his grades dropped." My Petya has always been a straight-A student and I've never heard differently.
"When does that happen?" May's never told me he was unwell.
"Often enough, the last year was quite stressful for him. He would never tell me why, but obviously, it was the bullying and lack of a mother." Right, I'm still not forgiven. Not till I officially quit.
"We'll announce my quitting tonight and then your legal team will handle the bullying. He'll get therapy and everything will be normal." I smiled, no more grounding him or glaring back and forth.
"He's still a teenager, they act out and he lives at the Avengers compound with 2 super parents, there is no normal." I can't say how many times I've heard this.
"He would have had normal if I listened to Fury," I mumbled as we walk into the building.
"What do you mean? What did that pirate say?" Guess he heard me.
"Fury told me to give Petya up when I found out but I was told I could never have children so I kept him. He's a miracle to me, I couldn't give him up." When he told me that Clint, Richard, and Mary all came to my support and we eventually convinced Fury this would be a good thing.
"He would've ended up in some orphanage or foster home feeling unwanted. You gave him a decent home and he's an amazing kid because of it. Smart as hell, witty, and could defiantly beat half the Avengers in a fight." That mostly was from all the help I had, if it was me alone he wouldn't be as great.
"They're back, where were you two?" Bruce questioned when we walked passed the living room.
"Busy, nice welcome after being gone for 2 days." I sassed, Bruce and I don't have the best relationship.
"Right, welcome back Ms Romanoff." Vision greeted with Wanda beside him.
"We have an announcement, I'm quitting." Yelling erupts.
Petya's pov
Bag? Check.
Phone on silent? Check.
Extra clothes? Check. I'm ready to head out."Spiderman, Spiderman does whatever a spider can. Spins a web, any size. Catches thieves just like flies." I whisper my theme song as I make my way to Queens.
I could patrol around New York but Queens is where I got my start, braking my arm when I first tried to make webs, braking my leg when I fell down a fire escape, braking my ankle- ok I think you get the point. Queens is important to me for many reasons but more so because this is where Ben died.
His anniversary is coming up and I'm going to do what I did for his birthday, visit his grave and update him about everything happening with May, then spend the day with May. I don't know where she is right now but I'm sure she'll want to spend the day with me.
Maybe I should go visit her, contrary to what I thought there isn't much crime right now.
I swing down into the alley by my old apartment and change out of my suit like I've done dozens of times before. Then walk into the building, greeting my old neighbors and making small talk as I walk up the 3 floors since the elevator is constantly broken.
I knock twice and wait, I have my key with me but I don't want to scare May but just barging in when I haven't been here in a few days.
"Oh, Peter dear! Where's your mother?" She exclaimed hugging me tightly.
