"You want me to leave my family and everyone I love because I might hurt someone." I screamed at my Dad.
"No, you are leaving because I am trying to help you stop killing yourself slowly at the age of fourteen. I am not the only person that loves you that is thinking about this. Drake, Mike, and Paul are all thinking it's for the best. Do you think I want to send my little girl to the other side of the country?" He yelled at me. "And don't yell at me. Go pack, you are leaving in the morning. We are going to Drake's so you can say goodbye to the guys."
Stomping up the stairs to my room and slamming my door shut, I start to pack everything. Let me tell you a little about myself.
I am Emily Parks, daughter of almighty coach of the New Orleans Saints, Steve Parks. I am fourteen years old and I am not what you expect. At fourteen I was addicted to drugs, any kind. I liked them all. I see where my Dad is coming from, I am killing myself slowly from doing this. He is sending me away to San Francisco to get clean. Drake, Mike, and Paul are all player on the team. They were the ones that figured out what I was doing.
Before I knew it five hours passed and my Dad was knocking on the door. "Hey, you want to head out Drake's?"
"Yea." We walked down the stairs and was about to walk out of the door when I grabbed my Dad's arm. "Before we go I need to tell you this. I am sorry for putting you through this. I never wanted to do this, it just happened. I need to get clean, not only for myslef, but for all of the people that love me. Hey, on the bright side, I can work on losing that weight while I am gone."
"You would say that. How many times do I have to tell you that you are not fat!" He hugged me and laughed.
"Yes I am. You can't say that because I am your daughter." I looked up at him. "Love you."
Hugging me one last time, "I love you too Baby Girl." After that we wnt to Drake's and I said my goodbyes.
Getting back home I went straight to bed. Tomorrow was going to be a long day. My Dad woke me up at six and drove me to the airport. "Love you so much Emily."
"Dad if you cry, I will tell everyone. I love you too. I will call when I land and every day. I love soo much Dad." I let him go and walked to the lady and gave her my ticket. What I didn't know was after I got on that plane, my life would change forever.
