Emily's POV
"Fine, I got it. Tap you before I jump so you can slowly slow down while I flip. You don't want me to get hurt again blah blah blah." I smile.
"Baby, I mean it." He takes hold of my waist and places his forehead to mine.
"Ok, I'll do everything you just said. Now how 'bout kiss me so we can do this." Giving me a quick peck, he turns around and gets on the four- wheeler to drive. Standing on the back of it, I hold onto his shoulders as he drives.
Tapping his shoulders, he looks at me and shakes his head. "Not yet."
"I'll do what I want, just drive." He shakes his head and laughs aloud.
Coming to a stop in the clearing you hear is clapping from all around.
"Damn, Parks, you didn't fall off once. Good job." I smile and fall straight on the ground."Woah, baby, you okay?" Jimmy quickly gets to me. "Maybe that concussion and flips wasn't a good combinuation. Let's get you home and get some food. Are you dizzy, lightheaded?"
"A little dizzy. I don't know if I can walk." I start to get tears in my eyes from how bad my head hurts.
"Baby, I am going to pick you up and I am bringing you home." Seconds later I feel arms around me and I'm being lifted. "Stills, open up my truck, get the side door open." That is the last thing I hear before I black out in Jimmy's arms.
~"Damn it! Why was she that dumb?" I barely hear my Dad's voice. "When is she going to wake up?"
"Soon," Jimmy's voice comes out. "Her eyes are slowly opening now. Just give her ten more minutes." I feel my hand being squeezed. "She is going to wake up soon."
"Water." I barley get out the words. Jimmy jumps up and gets water out of the pitcher. After he hands me the water, I slowly drink it. "Where am I?" I look around and realize I'm in a hospital room.
"You knocked out four hours ago after thirty minutes of not waking up, I brought you here and called Steve." Jimmy sits back down and grabs hold of my hand.
"Sweetheart, how is the head?" My Dad walks to the other side of the bed.
"Hurts."
"Let's get someone in here. Tell them she woke up." Jimmy kisses the back of my hand, gets up and leaves the room.
"I have never seen you or him like this."
"What? Can you help me move this bed so I can sit up?" I ask confused and then wanting to sit instead of laying down. "Thank you."
"He looks like a love sick dog. Y'all have known each other what, this is day two. Its kind of reasuring knowing that my little girl is getting taken care of." As soon as he finishes, a doctor and Jimmy walks into the room.
"So the concussion should go away within the hour. You won't be back to your normal self for a couple of days. But besides that you will be perfectly fine." He looks towards my Dad and Jimmy. "For right now make sure she is up every three hours, eats something every four. That's it after she gets dressed she is all good to go."
"Hold up how did I get in this gown if I was knocked out?" I sit up and look between the two boys in the room.
"I put it on you then took off your top and bottoms. Didn't see anything, I swear. But your bathing suit is over there, but you can put that on yourself." He smiles after the last sentence.
"For some reason I don't believe you." I look at him and we both smile at each other.
"On that note, I am going to leave and I will call you later, sweetheart." My Dad kisses the top of my head, "Love you."
"Love you too." I say softly and then he leaves.
"It's weird seeing him like this." Jimmy says as I start to swing my legs over the side of the bed. Standing up, I fall right back down. "You good?" Jimmy rushes to me.
"Yep. I have been knocked out for a couple of hours, my legs aren't really working." I try again and I'm able to stand up. I put on my bathing suit and Jimmy ties my top. "Do you have something I can put over this?"
"Yea. Here. It is gunna be big. I had an extra shirt in my truck," he slides the shirt over my head. "Now lets get some food and then get you to bed. I'm praying that it is my bed with you in my arms, but it is completely up to you. I will bring you to where ever you want to go." He puts his hands on both sides of my face and lightly kiss my lips before we leave the hospital.
Getting in the truck, I feel like eating something home cooked, "Can you cook something besides breakfast?" Looking across the seat, I ask.
"Yea, why?" We stop at a red light, he turns and looks at me.
"I am craving something home cooked but don't know what." I curl up in my seat. Once he pulls up into the driveway, I jump out and run to the door. "Hurry up."
"Chill, woman. You go to bed. I'll wake you up when I am done cooking." Opening the door, I walk straight into the bedroom and lay down quickly falling asleep. I feel something warm and soft on my forehead. "Sweet dreams, baby." I feel covers over me. I hear the door lightly click and sleep instantly takes over me.
"Baby.""Ok is the food ready?" I slowly open my eyes.
"Yea, it is on the table." When I look up, he's smiling down at me. "How are you feeling?" He pulls the covers back and slides in with me.
He pulls me all the way to him as I say, "Better now." Looking up at him, I laugh. "Really, I think food will really help. What time is it?""Well, lets get you into the kitchen. It's almost eight." Standing up, Jimmy picks my up and carries me to the table. "Eat." We both sit down and eat. As soon as nine rolls around there's a knock at the door.
"Jimmy, do you know who is coming over?"
"I wasn't planning on having anyone but you. I have no clue who it could be."
Standing up he walks to the door and opens it. "What the hell are you doing here?"
"I hurt her, I need to tell her I am sorry. I just need to talk to her." I have the same question as Jimmy, What the hell? But for dumbass reasons I feel a sense of confront that he came.
"Paul?"
