Jimmy POV
Walking to Em, you can tell she's nervous. We're going to ride some four wheelers, eat some food, and act like big kids, I just need her to not be nervous and relax some. "Baby, calm down. You don't need to be nervous. Even though this is our first date." I throw my arm around her shoulders. "Please."
"Is he gunna be here?" The instant she speaks, I know who she's talking about.
"I don't know but if he is, we will leave and deal with it together. But until then, have fun." I look down at her and smile. "If not I know a way to make you and I don't care who is looking." I whisper the last part in her ear. Feeling her jump, I have a smile plastered on my face. "I might just do that anyway."
Stopping instently and turning to where she was infront of me, Em says, "I might just beat you to it, babe." Leaning closer to me, she whispers in my ear, "Just not right now." Laughing I wrap my arm back around her and we walk around.
"You ready? C'mon." I pull her towards one of the four wheelers lined up on the side of the track. Getting on first, I hold out my hand for Em to get on. "Take off your shoes and leave them with mine." She looks at me like I'm crazy. "Trust me." Taking off her shoes, she throws them by mine and then gets on. "Yo Stills! Take Emily and I's stuff to my truck and then give me my keys back when you see me."
"Got you bro." I throw my keys to him and he grabs our shoes and my shirt and left.
"Hold on tight, baby. Better be ready for a wild ride." I finish and her grip on me tightens immediately.Laughing to myself, I spead off and drive us off to a spot that was great at this time of day. It takes a little while to get to but it has water, trees, and open area, everything you could need. After about ten minutes on the four wheelers, I feel Em scoot closer to me and lay her head on my back. Her arms around me loosen and I feel her body relax onto mine as I keep driving.
Finally stopping at the place, Em says, "Wow, this place is beautiful! How'd you find it?"
"I needed a place to get away. I got on the four wheeler and just rode. After a while I found I came across a place where all there of the places I wanted to be met." I sit on the edge of where the grass meets the water.
You know, when I would look at you, I could never guess you would need a place to cool down. Looking at you, I would think you would have multiple places." Em knows how to lighten the mood.
Em sits next to me and I pull her into my side, wanting her close. She stares at the water reflecting the afternoon sun while I just admire her. A light breeze passes, slightly blowing her ponytail into her face and I reach out to move the hair away.
Can I ask you a question?" I ask, lightly kissing her neck once.
Sure," she replies, still staring at the water.
"How'd you know Paul?" I make her turn to face me and I grab her hands in mine.
She sighs deeply, looking down before answering, "I was close with Paul, Mike and Drake before I left."
"Why did you leave?" When my sentence finishes, I feel her tense."Ummm-" Emily quickly looks away from me, "I-"
"I won't judge you. Everyone has their own past you shouldn't be scared or ashamed to say what happened." I squeeze her hands, gently.
"It's bad. I just don't like to talk about it but I need to because I need to talk about this stuff that happened last night." She looks back at me.
"I'm here, baby. I'll be here whenever you need to talk, I'll listen just tell me."
"Ok." She pauses. "When I turned thirteen I met this guy, that I thought was the man of my dreams. When I turned fourteen I would of done anything and everything for him. And I did just that. At fourteen he gave drugs and told me to do it or he was going with this other girl. I did it. It was the first but not the last, he kept doing that just a different reason to go if I didn't do the drugs. I got addicted. It became a problem not only for me but for Dad, Mike, Drake, and Paul were always worried." Pausing again I see her eyes get glossy.
