Everyone knew. No, everyone thought they knew. Everyone read those gossip magazines. The journalists who had dug into Hart's life created an image of me without thoroughly knowing me, giving that image to the public, completely misusing their power for the sake of an increase in readers and an increase in money. Yes, I had made a mistake, but never with the intention of purposefully using Crystal. Crystal had never given a single shit about me, and now, all of the sudden, when the press offered her attention — and probably money — she called me her ex-best friend. As if she had ever considered me as a friend! And the worst thing was that no-one wanted to hear my part of the story, the real truth, because people found other people doing bad stuff way more entertaining than people doing good stuff. I could post hundreds and thousands of messages online explaining what exactly happened, and I'd still be known as the narcissistic friend-using bitch. I'd never be known as the bitch who spends so much time in the hospital trying to save people, the bitch who does her best to find cures for illnesses. Was that unfair? Yes, very much.
