18|PLANTING SEEDS

I haven't fallen asleep. Joshua and I didn't get a ounce of sleep. It's been already 14 hours that we been out with only his security guard looking over us.

When I got there he was already going back to his car. I didn't know who's house he was at but I took long to get there. I followed him for an hour as I got calls from everyone every second.

Joshua drove all the way downtown to one of his favorite places.

As soon as he parked I pulled up behind his car so he wouldn't drive off. I came around to see him smiling at me. "What the fuck!? Why you-"

"I'm hungry. I'll buy." He says waving his card in my face. His smile on his face made me chuckle. I couldn't get mad at him. Especially when he had that face.

After we had that late night snack we made our way to the Crown Fountain at Millennium Park. Then we made our our way to the Cloud Gate and stayed there till the sunrise.

We even had his guard eating with us under the bean.

It was 9am when we made it back to my house. It was chaos.

As soon as I opened the gate everyone flooded out the house towards us. Asking us questions as we got out. I didn't bother answering them and made my way inside.

I walked into my office and took a seat in my chair. Charles came in and closed the door behind so no one would bother us.

      "You're just full of surprises." He says leaning next to me. "You are right. I am. So tell me what were you doing at my house a few days ago? When everyone was out?" I asked looking up at him facing the window behind him. I saw the look in his eyes as he flinch. "What?!" He asks shocked and but taken aback.

      "You heard me." I said as he looks down to his hands.

      "I I...went to get my clothes back but I changed my mind because I wanted to see you again and beg for me to come back." I rolled my eyes. "Then why the fuck you acted like that?"

      "I was still mad." He says making me a little mad. "You know I likely will cheat on you again." I admitted. I didn't know why. It just came out. I guess I really do like to self sabotage my own relationships.

      I hear him sigh loudly. He lifts my chin up with a finger. "Baby. Get up." He says as I do so. Still as he lifts my chin up with his finger. Up to his level.

      He then grips my hair. Pulling me back.

      "Cheat on me and see what happens to you. You won't only be afraid of the Clarke's but of m-"

      The door behind us opens and he quickly connects our lips to not make it seem like he was hurting me.

      He lets go and nonchalantly looks over at Tyler who was bringing in two coffees and a muffin.

      "Sorry to interrupt your make out session." He says coming over to my side and setting down the muffin and coffees. "Thanks." I said grabbing the coffee and walking to his side. So he can be between Him and I.

      "Thanks." Charles tells him as he reaches for the other coffee. Assuming it was his. As reached for it Tyler grabs his hand and twist it. He winces in bed as Tyler pubs his arm behind his back and slam him up against the wall.
