"I never lose..." Part 2

**flashback from 5 years ago**

Kira's POV

It was raining hard and everything was dark. I could her a lot of people's voices and sirens.  I could sense multiple footsteps. I am being tracked down.

"Kira Nagayama, you are completely surrounded! Surrender now to the authority!"

Tsk! Authority?! What authority?!

"In the name of justice, surrender---"

**splash of blood**

"Hmmft. Justice??! What is that?" I told to the cop I just killed with my very own hands.

"This f*ckin' world doesn't know that!!!" I screamed.

It's the reality, if the authority really does have this so-called justice then Mina.. Then Mina shouldn't have perished under those filthy rich assholes!

"Show me this justice you are saying!!!" I screamed as I try to attack another cop.

"Pathetic"

I stopped as I heard someone from behind me talk. That person is fast, I didn't managed to sense his presence. I turned a corner of my eye to see who was it. To my surprise it was just a young teenage girl probably at her 14s.

"Trying to claim justice by killing other people? How unfortunate", she said.

I tried to stab her with the ben knife I am holding but she swiftly moves around me. I could see a lot of her but they were just mere afterimages. This thing kept on for a minute until I was slammed on the ground--- head's first. The impact was great and I feel like I was going to die, something I was happy about.

"You like dying?" she asked me.

"W-who a-are yy-you?" I asked.

"You know, there's a lot of people out there seeking out for revenge... And you are one of them. Do you know how pathetic you are?!"

Because of what I have heard, I tried to get up to shut her mouth but to no avail.

"what do you know about us?! What do you know about pain?!" I shouted at her while crying.

"Nothing." she said plainly.

"But you know better..." she added.

I just gave her a curious look. What does she mean by that?

She bent towards me and looked into my eyes with a lot of compassion as if she could understand how hurt I have been for the past years because of losing a loved one.

"Rather than revenge, why don't you protect? You know how it feels like to lose someone important to you... And how painful it was. Why don't you just prevent other people from experiencing that?"

I don't know why but I was caught up with her words. Every single of them were engraved in my shattered heart as if they are healing it.

"How can I trust you?" I asked with hope in my heart.

She stand up and she assist me to get up on my feet. Her hands were warm and soft. I felt like I was touched by an angel.

"You can place your trust on me because I can help you. And I can help you because I never lose..."

I was astonished by what she have said.

"that man would be the last innocent person you will kill from now on... There are greater trash in this world that needs to be clean up... And you who have suffered in pain are the people who can do that task."

"What's your name?" I asked her.

"Just call me Sherry, Kira-kun."

**end of flashback**

And I guess that's how Sherry got my trust and loyalty. She's really saying the truth when she said she never lose.

That one girl who can take anything. That girl you will hate to love but you will love in the end...

And that's Sherry Ford...
