Mikky corrected her vest and headed down into the main floor of the orphanage. She hid her tattoos and eye, and went looking for the Fox God, seeing if she was waiting in the cafeteria for breakfast.

She didn't find Akeno, but instead found Minerva sitting at one of the tables speaking to a few of the orphanage staff about what they were going to have to do when the King comes to try and blame them.

Mikky sat beside Minerva who continued talking to her staff.

"They're certainly going to come looking, so we should hide the stuff that was stolen well. They'll try and search the orphanage but I won't let them, so keeping it in Mikky's room would be a good idea."

"But they'll pick on us when we go into town to buy ingredients for food." One of them asked.

"We won't be able to get supplies if none of us can leave." Said another.

Minvera smiled softly. "The guards of this town know better than to risk my wrath by hurting any of you. Don't worry yourselves over it."

"Minerva, has Akeno come back yet?" Mikky questioned.

"I haven't seen her. She didn't come in last night?" The vampire looked from Mikky to the members of her staff who shook their heads sadly. "I wonder why that is... It's very unlike her."

"Perhaps the guard managed to capture her." One of the staff suggested. "It would explain why they haven't come to us yet."

Mikky stood up quickly as realization flashed before her. She hadn't even thought that the Goddess might have been captured and that was why she didn't return. She had been so angry thinking she had been abandoned, she hadn't even thought that she might have been taken against her will!

"Mikky?" Minerva asked.

"I have to check the castle dungeons to make sure." Mikky confessed. "I can't just leave her to him without checking."

"Don't be stupid. There would be triple the guard now. Even you wouldn't be able to get in." Minerva stood, taking her arm to prevent her from running off abruptly.

"I can't just leave her!" Mikky told her. "I have to do something!"

"Let's just give her more time." Minerva nodded. "If the King had her he would likely send someone to give me a message stating that he had the Fire Fox and would be using her to get his revenge on me for stealing from him. Until we get some kind of sign, we shouldn't rush into anything abruptly."

"I'm going into town." Mikky told her.

"Please Mikky, don't do anything stupid."

Mikky shrugged off Minerva's hand before heading out of the orphanage without another word. She made her way through the streets, glancing around at all the faces that passed her by.

Any one of them could be Akeno. If she had regained her power, then she could change her appearance to whatever she wanted. If she hadn't been caught, and was indeed just trying to run away, she would probably be looking for some kind of guide back to Krate. Checking the marketplace would be a good idea.

Mikky glanced around at the shops, trying to think of where the God could be. She found herself walking to a clothing store, following the scent of flowers and fallen leaves, she ended up glancing at the clothing on display. Why did her nose lead her here? Did Akeno smell like that?

A hand on her shoulder jolted her from her thoughts. She turned her head, finding a guard glaring at her. "What do you think you're doing?"

"Shopping?" Mikky raised an eyebrow. "Is that a problem?"
