Mikky sighed, sitting at the table with her head down as she buried her fingers in her hair. The fox was sitting in the living room on the chair staring at the door like she was trying to decide whether or not she could leave.

Mikky wished she just would. That she would run out that door and neither of them would have to think about it ever again. The cat's tail swayed in her annoyance as her ears folded back. She couldn't hold back her hiss of frustration before she stood up. She turned around, finding the fox standing in the entryway to the kitchen watching her.

The cat sighed deeply, trying to calm herself down as she turned her back to the fox and went over to her stove top, leaning over the cold stone as her tail continued to sway behind her.

"What do you want from me?" Mikky asked, not turning around to face her.

Home. Akeno answered.

"You want to go home?" Mikky questioned, her ears standing back up in her curiosity.

Akeno turned her head, looking over her shoulder like she was checking one last time for anyone else to be nearby before looking back up at the cat with a look of almost sadness in her eyes.

"I want to return to Krate."

The voice didn't reach Mikky's ears, it was as though she heard the voice within her own spirit. Like her very soul was listening to the voice that came from the Goddess before her. The voice carried with it a divinity that Mikky herself did not know. If she did not believe in such things before, she certainly did now.

It took a few seconds for Mikky to collect herself after hearing the voice, and her mouth opened and closed like a fish as she stared at Akeno in complete shock before finally answering. "Y-You want me to take you across the Realms and all the way to Krate?!"

"I need to return to my people, I need to protect the Shrine."

"What the hell is at your shrine that's so important to you?"

"It is where the True God Juno was sealed long ago, and her staff is currently being held there." Akeno explained. Her eyes seemed to almost glow as she spoke.

"That trip could take a whole month to get there." Mikky answered as she shook her head. "It wouldn't be worth the effort in the slightest."

"I would make it worth your time." Akeno answered.

"You have nothing I want."

"But you have something you don't want anymore. Right?" Akeno questioned, her tail curling up at her side like a shield. "You want the markings gone?"

Mikky blinked at her. "You know what they are?"

"They are the Weaves of Fate. They move and change with time itself." Akeno explained.

Mikky looked down at her arm, noting that her tattoos were definitely not moving or weaving or anything, and were just an ugly mark on her skin. Like endless streaks of a paintbrush with no real purpose. She looked back at the fox who was still staring at her. "You're kidding right?"

"What do I gain from lying to you?"

"You can tell me about them?"

"Do you want to know about them, or have them removed?" Akeno scoffed.

"Well if I knew about them maybe I wouldn't hate them so much!" She growled.

Akeno let out a deep sigh, like a tired animal before continuing. "They mark you as the Fate Weaver, the being who has control over Fate itself. It means you're untouched by time and destiny, and it allows you to control another person's Fate, and your own at will."
