Addison's PoV

I stood in my room picking the bows from my hair as I rub off the make up from before, it had been a toast for my father's new book and my mum insisted I looked my best.

I hear a car pull up in the driveway and I lean out the window to see a shiny BMW, parked infront of the house as my older sister Lavender Mari get out the car and wave goodbye to her much loved boyfriend.

"Addison! I'll be up in sec!" she calls when she sees my head out the window as she runs int side, her usual curly blonde hair had been straightened and briaded with flowers. I hear the door open and her quickly greet my parents before running up the stairs and banging my door open.

"Oh my gosh, Tyler is just the best!" she sequels collapsing on my bed and hugging my fluffy duck toy.

It was... entertaining to see her like this, my 21 year old sister was usually a lot better at keeping her cool but tonight she had lost it.

She giggled as she squeezed the life out of my teddies, she told me all about her date which had been planned for a couple of months now.

"Okay Lav" I say pushing her off the bed, I had been listening for the last hour and my eyes were starting to droop "I need to sleep now"

"Okay Addison" she never called me by my nickname "Love you baby sis" she says kissing me on the forehead and walking out with a smile.

"Hello?" Someone asks "What's wrong with her?"

"She just gets weird flashbacks" this voice was familiar, it was Calum's. I crack open an eye and the blinding light hits me hard after the dim lighting of the flashback.

"Oh my god" I say sitting bolt up and nearly hitting my head on Calum who leaned over me.

"What was this one bout?"

"I have a sister" I say breathlessly, Calum stares at me like I was crazy,

"Well yeah since we're adopting you Mali-k... Wait, you mean your old life?"

"Lavender Marie Knight" I say breathlessly as I help myself up and lean against the arm of the couch, Mali-Koa ha just left the room and returned with an ice pack that I pressed to my head.

"You wanna talk about it?" She says as she sits next to me wrapping her perfect arms around me "I'm always here lil sis"

"I'm good" I say taking a deep breath and staring straight at the wall trying to stop my brain for breaking completely. I had a sister. I have a sister that may still be alive.

"Well if you ever want to talk about it I'm here, don't ever use Calums shoulder to cry on" she whispers the last part making me smile before she stands up and stretches her arms "Well if there is nothing else here I am in needing of sleep"

"They can't take her" Joy says as she hugs me close to her chest while Calum and Leah protest.

"Mum, she needs to go back to get the cast off" Leah says

"And if we don't bring her back they will come looking for her and it will take longer for us to actually adopt her" Calum protests as he grabs my arm starting to pull me away from his mother.
