10: Mikey plays with hair

Addison's PoV

"You better not fuck up my hair" Leah says as she glares at Michael through the mirror as he smears a pale substance through her black hair.

"Don't worry, if I do then I will be your Pizza boy" He says and I hold a hand to my mouth stifling the laughter, Leah really did look stupid with her head covered like that.

I sat on the vanity in the bathroom in one of the ratty t-shirts I had leant from Ashton and Jean shorts from Raven. I was laughing at her but she glares at me and flicks my freckle flecked cheeks.

"But seriously, how much of my head are you dyeing, a couple streaks?"

"The whole head-"

"Wait... what! What colour!" She yelps as she throws both of her hands onto the vanity making me jump and hit my head on the wall behind me.

"You need to wait and see" he says and Hope who was in the bathroom with us giggled, she was really getting on my nerves that girl but I shake my head and turn my attention to the other people in the room.

Calum lay in the bath on his phone while Raven was looking through the products on the second vanity, Joy had two vanities, one for the normal one and a second on for hairdressing practice.

Luke sat on the toilet seat laughing at Leah along with me, but then Hopes fake laugh ripples through the air again and I can feel the happiness leave the air.

"I know what colour it is but I won't tell, that would be betrayal to my boyfriend" she says to all of us but when she said the word boyfriend her eyes landed on me.

I stare back into her silvery grey eyes with an unfazed look on my face, I think she thought that I was trying to steal her boyfriend. I may have a crush on him but I wouldn't ever steal anyone's boyfriend, even if they were as awful as Hope.

"Of course I just had to lose the bet" Leah says with her chin in her hand.

*earlier that day*

"No way" Leah says as she munches on popcorn before turning to me "Addi, tell him he's crazy, there is no way that Ame would abandon them like that"

We were all sprawled out across the couch and floor of the Hood's living room as we played the movie wolf children.

"I don't know, he is kind of drifting to the mountains" I say shrugging as she argued to Michael about the ending of the movie.

"Can't you see, it's obvious that both the children will leave home and the mum will stay" Mikey states crossing his arms while Hope patted his shoulder.

"But that's just cruel" she throw her arms out but then notices that Calum was trying to steal her popcorn and slaps his hand away "How about a bet?"

"Okay, if I lose and the kids stay with their mother then I'll be your pizza man and buy you pizza for a whole month"

"And if I lose, you can play with my hair, but your not allowed to cut it!... Deal?"

"Deal" and they shake on it and turn their attention back to the movie but first, Leah has to slap away Calum's hand again.

later

"Your where you belong!" The TV shouted at us and Leah finally flipped her bowl of popcorn onto Mikey's head as she starts hitting the bowl.

"You cheat! How could you have known that the kid would leave, damn this movie!" She shouts but then Mikey laughs as his voice is muffled by the bowl.
