I read this because of an English summer assignment. First book I had to read for PRE-AP English of this year (2012)

Review: I... I thought this book was well written. The characters were explained very well. The lesson in the book is very dead on, straight to the point. Even after all these things, this book bored me to death. I found myself falling or almost falling asleep when reading it. I thought the book slowly became better after Maud Brewster (one of the 3 main characters) came along. Even though, the book still was boring to me. The ending and towards the ending was probably the best part, not because it was ending, but because that's when things actually became interesting. The book, like I said, was very well written, but not in my taste. It wasn't such a terrible book, I could have been stuck with a worse book. In my honest opinion, I would have been bored with this book even if I didn't read it over the summer.

(I'd love to hear your opinions on this book (: please share?)
