This story was originally written when I was thirteen. I am now eighteen and have decided to edit and make many MAJOR changes to the story to improve my old and disastrous writing. If you are re-reading it'll be a new experience for you as well :) enjoy!

ALSO- do tell me if there are any grammar mistakes!!

Kimberly's P O V:

I practically melt against my pillow, my soft cover resting comfortably beneath my chin as I refuse to open my eyes despite waking up moments ago. I knew it was only a matter of time before my brother would barge in and ruin my short moment of peace, it was practically routine for us at this point. As if on cue, I hear my door slam open as a pair of heavy feet make their way over to my side of the bed.

"Wake your lazy ass up," His voice is void of all patience, a silent display of how he was not in the mood for my laziness this morning.

"Five more minutes, I promise," I mumble against the material of my pillow. I push my face further into it, refusing to deal with the obnoxious, talking alarm clock that was my brother.

"What are five minutes going to change?" Cam sighs with impatience.

"I'll take whatever I can get," I turn so my back is facing him, my eyes already closing once again.

The room falls silent and I'm internally grateful that I don't have to hear his obnoxious voice any longer. I think he might have allowed me to have my extra minutes of sleep, but obviously, I was more naive than I thought. I whine when he pulls the cover away from my curled-up body, all warmth being stripped away and replaced by the cold that usually comes with the early morning.

"You have-" He pauses for a second when taking his phone from his front pocket to check the time. "Twenty minutes to get ready, so I suggest you get your ass out of bed before I drag you to school in your pajamas," His tone leaves no room for argument, his brow rising in silent challenge.

"Fine," I groan, before sitting up. My hand rising to run through my bedhead. "I'll meet you downstairs when I'm ready," I roll my eyes.

"If you fall back asleep Kim-,"

"I won't," I groan for the umpteenth time, watching the way Cam smiles at my antics before finally making his way out of my room.

It was no secret that I hated waking up unnecessarily early for school, especially when Cam was involved. It would seriously take less effort for him to wake me up nicely rather than being so annoying every time. Then again, I think he's learned that I won't get out of bed unless he rips the duvet off me.

I stay still for a good while, my mind empty as I stare off into space, still trying to adjust from being rudely awakened. I sigh before begrudgingly getting out of bed, my hand raising to rub at my eyes tiredly as I walk into my bathroom. I take a quick shower before hopping out and starting my usual morning routine which involved brushing my teeth, skincare, and getting an outfit on.

I settled on some black leggings, a pair of uggs, and a hoodie, today was the last day of school so I wasn't all that fussed with what I chose to wear. I wince when I look in the mirror, my complexion looking paler than usual with some darkness under my eyes. I quickly apply some concealer to hide it, deciding that some mascara and lipgloss couldn't hurt either.
