Percy's POV
After Neeks and Thals, left, I ran to follow them. I stayed by the shadows; I made my every step silent, It was kinda stalkerish, but there was no way I wasn't going to see the downfall of the gods.
So when the doors of the Underworld opened into the world above, I breathed in a silent gasp. The light was blinding. And the air was like having a strong mint and drinking water afterwards. Two twin tears slipped down my face. It had been so long. So long since I had seen the brilliant blue sky. So long since I had breathed in semi-fresh air. And so long since I felt the cool breeze against my matted hair. I wanted to just stand there, but I knew I had to move. I silently positioned myself against a shaded rock.
Thalia, as if sensing me, looked around cautiously. My eyes narrowed. I knew that stance. She was preparing to pounce. In a instant, I vapor-traveled to the depths of the Amazon Jungle. After all, it was high time I paid an old friend a visit.
Thalia's POV (Before she IMessaged Anthony)
I gave a heavy sigh after exiting the Underworld. Seaweed Brain, why do you have to be so stubborn! She knows we need help. She knows the horrors and innocents that will be lost and known. Yet, she does nothing. I silently cursed her under my breath. I was just about to call for Arion when I sensed a presence nearby. My guards immediately we on alert. I tried looking around casually. It seemed as the presence was behind me. In a split second, I turned and threw a dagger behind me. All it did was get stuck in a rock. Nothing was there. I shook me head. It must be nerves. When Anthony hears of Percy's refusal, it'll be bad. Very bad.
