CHAPTER TWO

7:47am

"Okay I'm ready" Maggie said. My eyes shifted from the floor to the figure that's currently dressed in a pair of black jeans, dark combat boots, a ripped T-shirt which was tucked in her jeans paired with a black leather jacket.

"Okay!" I whispered slightly as we both made our way to the door.

walking to class, other than stopping once in a while to say hey to familiar faces! We were pretty much mute the whole time till Maggie broke the silence and spoke "Hey! Did you hear about the rumors that are going around??"

I looked to her furrowing my eyebrows as I asked "what rumors??"

She sighed as she stopped walking and I also stopped and turned to her, watching as her lips began to move "a teacher/student scandal" she smirked wiggling her eyebrows at me.

"WHAT??" I yelled dramatically earning some questionable looks from the crowd of students.

"shhhhhh!!!" Maggie shushed me as she held my hand dragging it, walking us out of the awkward situation. We rounded up the next hallway which consisted of fewer students before she stopped yet again then spoke "girl! You need to learn to be more quite Anyways our scandalous couple are said to be......" she stopped and looked cautiously around the halls then she motioned for me to get closer which I did "Amanda and professor Ford".

"WHAT???" I yelled again. Realizing my mistake, I went closer to Maggie as I spoke "I thought he's married"

"He is! That's what makes it scandalous!!" She said all too happily.

"Really? That's what makes it scandalous!!! Umm, what about the no student/teacher relationship rule?? Or the huge age gap??Oh god this is so bad! His wife is so nice lord knows She doesn't deserve this" I said with an 'UGH'

"Yeah I know but......" Maggie began to talk but I zoned her out as I realized that I've left my assignment in our dorm room "Damn" I sighed as Maggie looked at me confused "i left my assignment back in our room." I told her.

Maggie shrugged and was about to speak when she was hugged from the back she turned around and exclaimed happily "Alec!"

Ah! Alec the boyfriend of my best friend's dreams *as she puts it*. Personally I think he's a lowlife! So egoistic and not in the handsome mafia leader kinda way! Ugh fucking idiot.

"Hey babe!" Alec said kissing her on the cheek then he turned to me "Sup aloe vera! Looking as unpleasant to the eye as always" he said to me childishly.

Maggie nudged him and he bend over in discomfort "that's mean Alec! Apologize" said Maggie to her boyfriend. He shrugged putting his hands up in a *surrendering* position and he spoke to me once again "sorry.....but do you know how beneficial you're to the skin I'd sa......."Maggie punched him in the stomach this time as he Yelp in pain "jeez babe!" Maggie ignored him and turned to me giving me the 'don't mind him look'.

I smiled to her shaking my head "Its Okay! I mean he's always been an asshole so....."I said shrugging with a frown on my face.

"You know You mean more to me than him right?" Said Maggie putting her hand on my left shoulder!

"I'm right here" Alec exclaimed.

I smiled at her and spoke "I know but hey I've gotta go get that homework bye!" I turned around and i started to RUN-WALK back to our room but I suddenly crashed into a body!

"sorry" we both exclaimed in unison, I looked up and saw the face of my crush as he spoke "Vera, are you okay?? Why were you running?? Did....." I quickly interrupted him.

"Logan I'm sorry I can't talk right now I'm in a hurry I'll talk to you later" I said releasing my myself from his arms I continued running till I reach the door.

I opened the door and walked in closing the door behind me I looked around the room till my eyes fell on my assignment sitting on my bed "Thank god!" I breathed out rushing towards the desk, I grabbed the homework And turned around to walk out but then something falling down caught my eye! I looked down and saw a piece of paper I bend down and picked it up! It was blank or so I thought! Turning the paper around I could clearly see that there's something poorly written on it but, deciding on not wasting any more time, I kept the piece of paper on the desk underneath a couple of books and I quickly ran out of the room.

How did that paper end up on my desk though?? I thought to myself.

Running In the empty hall, there's just one scary thought running in my head.

I am so late for class.
