OVERPROTECTIVE

CHAPTER 9

Daniel P.O.V
I just now got released from the hospital and if I'm supposed to be feeling better is to say the least cause I sure am not.

I'm here in the car right now with Jonah and it's deathly quiet, too quiet, Jonah hasn't said a word to me nor even looked at me, i was shocked when a mumble of incoherent words filled the silence in the air.

"Why?" jonah asked to which I replied with "Why what?"

Jonah just stared ahead, I was very scared by the look on his face, he was very mad.

"You know exactly what I'm talking about." he said "Um actually I don't, sorry."

As soon as those words left my mouth, I felt the car jerk and we were soon spinning around back to the nearest gas station we both glanced at about a mile ago.

When we reached the gas station the car abruptly stopped, and my grip on the handle on the car roof loosened, my face turned tomato red when a pair of dark blue eyes burned holes right in my head.

"Daniel, look at me right now." I didn't obey. "Look. At. Me." I turned my head and eyes met eyes.

"I know that you know exactly what I'm talking about so cut the crap, why have you been so quiet lately?"
"Why should I tell you? You don't care anything about me. You don't pay attention to my life half the time." With that I rolled my eyes and looked away for half a second when a pair of strong hands jerked my head to look at him.

When I finally looked at jonahs eyes I noticed he was mad, not just mad, furious mad.

" Why the hell did you wreck my car!!!!" He was shaking, livid with anger.
"I- I just wasn't thinking I'm sorry."
"Oh bullshit and you know that so tell me right now or I swear the consequences will be worse than ever." and oh how I pushed his buttons.

"Nah, I think I'll take my chances."

And then the car sprung back to life and we were speeding down the road to our house with Jonah madder than a hornet who just got rained on.

And I knew I was in some deep shit.

I'm so very sorry that I haven't updated in 2 months school has rlly been kicking my ass but it's Thanksgiving break rn and I'm happy so yeah but I hope you guys are happy with this update but the next chapter will be jonah confronting Daniel finally.
