I lost all hope after being asked out

Chapter 4 Leo's past put to rest

The next week everything went back to normal as Leo kept coming to club but instead of shutting them all out he just ignored Tomomi. Day in Day out Tomomi tried to reconcile with Leo but he didn't care he just kept ignoring her he saw no reason to talk to her and so he wouldn't. As Leo had gotten a bit closer to his classmates after Kazimune's weird speech some of his male classmates asked him "Why does that girl Tomomi from the other class always look at you that guilty". "It's nothing she and I just don't go well together however much she wants us to" Leo replied to them as he sat down on his desk. "Don't you think it's time you two made up?" Kazimune said as he walked up to Leo from behind the other guys. "I don't see a reason to make up with anyone" Leo then said with an uninterested look on his face. "How about this then my father got a bunch of tickets for the amusement park let's go there with the group if you two have some fun together maybe you will see it's time to make up" Kazimune said. "If you are paying sure I'll go but don't expect too much of me" Leo replied.

That evening as Leo sat at the edge of the deck just underneath the roof he looked at the rain dripping down. As the water dripped in front of him he heard footsteps behind him. But just before he could look around he heard his sisters Ino's voice. "What brings you out here?" Leo asked. "I'm just checking up on you, our family has got to keep you in a good state after all" Ino replied. To that Leo started to laugh "you just sound like your dad now". "I guess I did there for a second but you are important to me too you know" Ino replied. "The only reason I can stay here is cause you convinced dad to let me stay as one of your attendees" Ino then said. "I could never live with myself if I send you away that's the only reason I let you stay" Leo replied as he reached out his hand into the rain. The rain dripped on his hand and while that rain kept falling his sister said "You should give them another chance I can see you are hurt but I think they are hurt too". She then left back inside. For a bit, Leo thought and thought "what should I do. Should I forgive her? Should I explain myself?". But he couldn't find the answer and all these questions only made it worse. So he got up and walked straight into the rain. He then looked up at the rain falling onto his face. He wanted to close his eyes but he couldn't even as the rain hit his eye it took a while for his eyes to close. Then he just stood there thinking for half an hour he stood there and then decided it was enough and went back inside to wash himself.

So that weekend the group went to the amusement park together. They gathered at the station and took the bus from there. The entire ride there Leo still hadn't decided what he wanted to do did he want to make up or cut her from his life. But once he walked out and saw her looking at the amusement park and then at him with a guilty look he knew what had to be done. So as they went in Leo walked up to Tomomi just past the ticket gate and said "Let's go into an attraction just the two of us later today ok?". "Sure" Tomomi replied. Leo then went back to the group and said "What we doing first?". "You are quite enthusiastic today what happened with you" Kazimune said. "I just realized something that's all" Leo said. The group then went on first into a few rollercoasters then a water attraction and a bunch more attractions. For hours and hours, the group went around. As they did Leo and Kazimune actually talked a lot. Then came the Ferris wheel as Leo hoped he could go in alone with Tomomi. But before he could ask her Kazimune dragged him along and four guys got in together.

"So why drag me along?" Leo asked. "I have never talked as much with you as I have today" Kazimune said. "Why do you want to be my friend so badly anyway?" Leo then asked. "I might not have a connection like most of these guys do I don't have a traditional family, or a family member in a coma, I'm not even your childhood friend but when I saw you I knew I wanted to be your friend" Kazimune replied. "So it was all just a feeling?" Leo then asked. "Maybe it was just a feeling but is there anything wrong with that do I have to have some special connection" Kazimune replied. "No you don't really I think I would even prefer friends without a special connection that way there isn't a heavy secret or burden resting on the friendship. That way it's just purely based on friendship" Leo replied. "This is gonna be a weird question after all this talk about friendship, but would you wanna eat lunch together with me and Aki from now on I know we usually already visit you during break but I want us to eat together like we are friends" Kazimune said. "Don't go asking me out now, but sure I'll eat lunch with you but we aren't friends yet" Leo said as the Ferris wheel came to a stop and he got out.
